Saw two FR-S on my way to work around 5pm yesterday. I think one was Argento and one was orange... but I may be mistaken. Then a blue BRZ parked next to me at work. yay!

You are in 3rd out of 12 novices, and that was with crappy stock tires. You should easily move to 2nd with your new tires. In STX, you will be crushed unless you drop $5,000 or more into the car. Staying street tire stock is the is the best option because it is cheaper and learning to autox stock street tire really helps develop driving skills. You already have wheels and tires, so the only thing left is Konis and a front sway bar. Btw, that is the path Ninjin is taking. (I wouldn't be surprised if Ninjin showed up next season sporting r-tires). The common wisdom in autox is learning to drive in a stock setup on street tires is best because real good suspension or r-tires mask mistakes whereas stock highlights them. And autox is all about learning from mistakes.

Besides autox, there is also rallyx. Rallyx kicks ass! The first event of the season will be Feb. 16th in Tucson. While I wouldn't bring my FR-S, someone did bring their Corvette to the last event. And I have even heard of people renting a car together and then cleaning it afterwards (taking care to clean under the car - just saying).

promo video - I think I am driving in some of the shots

Oh for those that didn't or couldn't stop by here's where i am stopping at:

Which kit is this? What turbo, and how many WHP roughly do you think?

It's the stg1 p&l turbo kit. He's running about 7 psi so probably up in the 300whp range. I don't think he got it dynod yet tho. He spent about 10k for the whole system tho

That is just sick. I am looking to likely do something similar a ways down the road... But for now, am going to keep it all STX legal.

A silver FRS passed me eastbound exiting the 7th ave tunnel this morning around 0630 and then as I got on the 51N I merged and rolled alongside a red FRS till I got off on Camelback. I was rolling my WRX this morning.

Everytime I see one I want it more and more haha

@Evil86 how do you think my bronco would do in rally cross? It's top heavy even with the back section off so the turns would be slower but I could rocket the straights!

I would imagine it would be fun. I don't know offhand if it is legal though. I know next to nothing about rallyx.
