I hope they keep the 86 steering wheel and not get shafted with a Scion wheel.
The Scion TC has a better looking steering wheel than the plain circle one in the FRS, IMO.

Did anyone else notice the FM DAB button on the stereo? Don't know what elsewhere in the world is like but in Australia I think only BMW have digital radio. Bit sucky because Commercial Radio Australia have really been pushing digital radio outside of cars! Lots of digital-only stations available already.

Also, that dash cover... even if the one in the pic was carbon fibre, don't expect that to make it to production. It could have been just glare off a production prototype that made it look like carbon fibre, OR, the carbon fibre version they've used previously was the closest production replica they had, so that's what was fitted to the car at the time (clearly the interior isn't fully complete in that pic).

I do like the 86 logo in the middle of the steering wheel, however I'd be surprised if this wasn't replaced by the manufacturer logo. The 86 logo would appear on the dash somewhere if I had my way...

Funky air vents imho!

Wow, really!! The tC steering wheels isn't ugly or anything but the red stitching and the 86 logo on the center makes it that much more badass!

Just thought of something. Now that we've established that the car is probably not a hatchback, will the back seats fold down?

I thought if the tachometer looks like the one on a sportbike where it has a digital speedometer....

the LEFT analog speedometer in the FRS could be used for something else???

Looks pretty good so far. Wish we knew how tall the driver is, because he seems to fit fine and have plenty of leg room. At 6'2, that is important to me, because hate having my knees hit the steering wheel!

I like how they kept both analog and having 2 different face colors which was similar to how Kawasaki's were.

I also like how they have a digital speedo AND gear indicator which will be 10x easier to see when you're on the track compared to the analog speedo.

+1

I mentioned in an earlier post about how low the guy is sitting. I'm also 6'2 so having decent head room and a steering colum that won't hit our knees would be good.

Judging by his left sleeve cuff to his wrist and his left knee to his shoe, he doesn't seem that tall. I'm going to take a wild guess and say he's probably 5'8-5'10.

I hear it's going to be turbo, 4WD, STi (on the Toyota), 6 disc blu-ray changer with holographic nav, Supra successor with the entire body wrapped in leather. Oh and it doesn't need push button start because it just knows when you want to go. And damn am I sick of it.

I like generally non-perfect-circle shaped wheels, but I'm not too big a fan of the one in the tC. Audi or VW are perfect IMO, but I do really like the way this one looks too.

The more I see of this car the more I want it. I have my expectations set reasonably low so I think it would be hard for me to be disappointed in the final product.
