^^ This x100. Never been rear-ended and I take partial credit for that. When in traffic, if the person behind me is txting I will move aside.

Besides the traffic, is Baltimore nice? I've always wanted to go there. I've only ever visited New York City and I actually like it there. As long as you don't have to drive, it's nice on the East Coast, I think. Baltimore just seems kinda classic to me. I plan on taking a month-long cross-country road trip in 2014, so maybe I'll come by and visit.

A lot of old skool crew have been posting recently in AKIC. We just had a meet at the Swan's place on Sunday. I showed up way late, but had a good time still. You should check out Nomadgene's/Mike's JDM STI swap into his bugeye. That thing is BEAST! So much well-thought-out research!

With all of the nice builds happening in Alaska I'm thinking of putting together a semi-annual Ride of the Month-type of competition.

I got rear-ended once in my 2001 Subaru 2.5 RS. I was in the right lane and a lady coming in from the right merged oddly enough to where it caused the guy behind me to hit me. It was low speed and just mess up my aftermarket bumper behind the license plate.

Since then I avoid the right lane until the last, possible moment (without being too rude), show my brake lights in advance and try to see what cars are in front of the car in front of me, which has prevented my getting into accidents with other vehicles. Too many times I've seen people going TOO SLOW cause accidents because they're trying to AVOID an accident. Just hangout in the right lane or go the speed limit, people.

With the BRZ I've had to be extra cautious about doing anything too quickly, but it handles with enough feedback and error-correction that I don't worry too much.

If any of you have done any of the above knowingly (I am positive everyone has) you have no place here to be a hypocritical a-hole. I find it hilarious that the first response when someone gets into an accident (whether or not who's fault) that the "Way to go idiot, now my insurance is gonna go up!" quotes soon follow. If there is anyone we should be "pissed" at, shouldn't it be the insurance company? What about all these great drivers on FT86CLUB? With all these great drivers not getting into any accidents, where is the money that you pay every month for insurance that you you'll never need to claim because you are such great drivers? Sheep will be sheep...

#1, sure maybe 3-5mph, never more. The others? Hell NO! I yell at anyone that does those things. Can't learn to use your damn turn signal? Get off the road!

No one is talking crap for someone wanting to have fun or learn. People are talking crap for someone wanting to "have fun" or show off on the street. There is a time and a place, and I'm sure your brother will tell you the same.

Take it to the track, and don't try to learn by teaching yourself on your "favorite intersection".
