If 8500 is do-able on stock internals, maybe I'll start reevaluating my plan to go SC and go back to my 9500 rpm rev limit NA boxer build idea.

Chrono Trigger was the best Squaresoft game ever...Magus was the most bad ass character, not to mention the amazing combo spells...I miss games like that.

For anyone that cares I'll be at Vivid Racing this morning, maybe around 11 if anyone want to check the car out.

Visconti is saying in the FI section that he's planning on doing a 9600 rev limiter for an upcoming tune. That will be interesting if he pulls it off.

Any higher than 9k and you'll need a new tach, it tops out at 9000. I think 10k would be a bit obscene, but a decently reliable 9000-9500 would make me happy. Obvious problem being that a rev limit that high would be pointless if you stop making power at 7500...so trying to stretch the power band that far could be interesting. Lots of variable timing and valve lift would probably be in order. Dammit, back to the drawing board. Not like an SC is anywhere in the near future; I hate the Vortech kit and the Innovate kit is being pushed back constantly, so I've got nothing but time to plot and plan and dream.

As long as there's not a power drop, even plateauing after 7400 would be useful track/autox driving, especially autox, it'd be hitting 70+ mph in second gear. I'd definitely wait a while and let other people be the guinea pigs if this is going to be tried on the stock valvetrain. Visctonti seems to be implying that it will be.

I have no faith that the stock valve train could handle 9500...

if he can make the FA20 run out to 9500 and make useful power, all without ejecting parts out of the engine block then I will be suuuuper impressed, because that is some high tier witchcraft right there.

It is my buddy driving in this shot - he is the one tuning the suspension and the car over the next few months.

We are going to soften the front end by going back to stock sway bar so the car sets better into turns. He was faster than me, by only by a half second or so, which meant I was very fast yesterday.

Check out the body roll.
