Keiichi Tsuchiya's brief comment according to Tada-san and Moto-P

Saw this on my facebook feed from Moto and Tetsuya Tada...

I'll roughly translate the message:

We had a chance to have Mr.Keiichi Tsuchiya test drive our production car today, and he commented as follows...

"The car (FT86) is not only FUN to drive, but in terms of quality and precision of handling, the car has very much surpassed any expectations I had. More easily put, if you had blind folded me and told me this was a new creation by BMW's M department, I would not even hesitate to believe you. It's that good."

---

Happy now? I'm thrilled because I just sold my own BMW M3 a few months ago in preparation to buy an FRS.

RWD is the least stable layout in the snow. Spray your underbody w/ rubber undercoating so your baby doesn't rust! (no to rattle cans, yes to industrial-grade spray guns shot by a professional)

Underbody

I was for sure going to do that with this car as i plan on keeping it for awhile but with some good winter tires and a careful driver it will be alright?

Definitely on those last 2 points. Also give it a good polymer sealant job (stronger than wax) before snowy season to preserve the finish. I'm moving to Kansas so I'll be in a similar situation.

It's all in the tires and electronic nannies. My 3-series with winter tires outperforms my previous Impreza with all-season tires to a ridiculous degree.

Low ground clearance will get you stuck though. And if the CoG on this thing is 1" lower than Cayman, it'll have low ground clearance.

The camouflaged cars actually all have a pretty high ground clearance. I think the reason for the low CoG is that they tucked everything as low as possible relative to the chassis.

Not saying he isn't... but Senna beat him in the term "Racing God" IMO

Anyways, when I read that quote last night, I was really happy. I hope, they give this car to right/left man of DK, Manabu Orido & Manabu Nobuteru too

It would be great to see a best motoring test and track battle with the FT86! Although I heard the show is being canceled?
