Did your airbags go off?
Mine did and that was apparently a big factor in writing it off.
The passenger side airbag completely blew the passenger side window onto the street, the tint held it together in one complete piece.

In my experience it is usually always better to go to court, and depending on the situation might be of value to consult or hire a lawyer. Prices can be reasonable and if it gets you a better outcome then it is usually worth the investment. Reasonable doubt could be your friend assuming no witnesses, and maybe the cop will be cool or even better not show (although he most likely will).

Sorry my man, but dont get too down on it. Stuff happens and things have a way of working out, just got to deal with some bs for now. Good luck!

All depends on what the cop puts in his statement, and what you told him. You should never tell the police anything. If you told him you didn't see the person or weren't paying attention, that's going to be in his statement and he's going to tell the judge that if it goes to court. The judge is more likely to believe something in an officer's statement than what you say in court.

So even if the officer didn't see anything, the judge may believe him if you told him something at the scene.

My insurance company paid for another set of wheels and the tint, no questions asked, the car was only 11 bloody days old and the accident wasn't my fault.

They never asked for the original FRS wheels back either, they're sitting in my garage with only 60 miles on them. When I got the replacement car I put snow tires on the factory rims, which are back on the car now.

As of right now.. It's still your car to do what you want with it.. After my ex flipped her eclipse, we had it towed out the field and i drove it to our house and I took all the aftermarket stuff off and replaced with the factory stuff.. Then the insurance came and wrote it off and picked it up..
