Or even boxed ITBs, dual injection and a TVS...
The lift is attractive, but I'm pretty sure it's what's responsible for the 10kg mass increase. I'm convinced that if you just forget about low end torque, you can actually do a lot with a single cam profile. It's a great engine, I'm just waiting for the next true performance engine (which may never come)

The other day China launched its carrier, and I watched some military stuff enthusiast talk about the modern military aircraft stuff, which got me reading about jet engines...some crazy shit there. Turbine blades are actively cooled single crystal exotic alloys that are run at above their melting point O_O

Anyways, exotic materials made me remember the whole MMC rod thing again.
This made me lol: How much does a MMC con rod cost?
"The one-piece MMC con rods used in single cylinder 4-stroke engines costs 600 Euro and will give you a performance gain comparable to spending 5 times as much on other tuning parts. Assuming that you use your MMC con rod for 30-40 hours the cost per hour is only 15-20 Euro per hour. That’s probably less than you spend per hour when partying with your friends at a Friday night. We promise you equal fun on the bike when riding with our con rods "

600 apiece isn't much worse than titanium rods isn't it? I wonder if they make them for cars...you'd have to figure out the custom crankshaft though. If I sell my soul to finance (and don't do too shabby) and get a ton of money, I think I want to do the first MMC rod car engine.

The Chinese finally launched their 30 year old tiny Ukrainian carrier that they bought over a decade ago and have been furiously trying to make seaworthy ever since? Oh noes...

Reason MMC is in single cylinders is no one wants the hassle of making a 2 piece rod out of the stuff. Singles are usually take apart cranks.

I'm glad to see they're back with them for another video. Have you seen the previous one?

Also, has anyone noticed Youtube being very slow with buffering as of late? I can barely watch a 360p vid without buffering, and yet everything else runs fine. It's really quite annoying.

Yeah I started watching at the last one and went back to see the rest. I have 25/25 FIOS and I STILL have to buffer on YouTube...it's dumb.

So note to self, don't get Fios. Stick with local company cable internet.

That's interesting, would have been even doper had it been some giant humongous lego wall fixture.

Yup! Who cares about carriers though, it's just a stupid boat (albeit a very very big boat). Planes are where it's at.

Primarily yes.

I don't like it when people compare them (Drive TV) to Top Gear, its really two different things.

Wow. I remember reading that they were titanium. Not MMC with titanium as the matrix. That's pretty cool.

2ZZ has MMC in it, too...

Also: 2ZZ.
