Ya I have a few chips (5 count) on my front bumper from just a couple months driving on the freeways. They're all pretty small. Jay recommended that I let him use the touch up paint on them before he applies the clear bra. I'm itching to get out on the twisted sister weekend run but I read everyone's comments on rocks and paint chip issues during the run. Someone suggested blue tape- lol. Thanks for the heads up guys!!

I installed the stock FRS mud flaps... but I did also get wider tires... so I don't think it really helps :/ I just discovered another 2-3 chips

I agree with the mudflaps concept, however this is not ment to be a rally car. I am not a fan of the looks of mudflaps, but thats because I am going for a different look. I think a car is ment to be driven and scratches/chips are gonna happen, so meh. So options are bubble wrap your car and garrage it or....... drive it like you stole it and love ever minute of it. I am obviously the fan of the later on. Plus as people mentioned above could be a excuse to get new parts, but I wouldnt recommend vents if you ever drive on rainy days.

@Got3n - Pretty sure we can work something out!!!

@johatan25 - Basically, with the car safely raised and supported (ramps in front, jack stands, floor jacks still in place for safety at rear) a small jack with a short block of wood in the right spot lifts the engine slightly after loosening two motor mount bolts. It's probably is raised less than 1/2". No big deal. I removed the heat shielding from the old pipe and got it out without raising the engine but, the new pipe is fatter and needed a bit more room to twist and fit in.

Note: I used 50' of 2" wide exhaust wrap as shown in pics. 3" SS clamps from Lowe's. 2 - Walker exhaust flange gaskets from Advance Auto (Walker PN# 31337 - requires slight modification bolt holes with a round file). Also, a good time to install a whiteline spacer on the transmission mount as the front pipe wont be in the way. FYI. 2 birds/one stone! (May not be an issue with your AT, Justin.)

I should spec out for rallyx, just to spite you :p Who says this car can't be the next Lancia Stratos except for the whole mid engine thing.

You know in all honesty, I bet there is enough play in the stock motor mounts to lift it without actually unbolting anything. I've done it before on the WRX/STi

You may be correct and might try that first next time cause it didn't take much lifting to make the needed space for clearance. Thanks!
