I think side and curtain airbags are now required by the NHTSA. My life is more important than a car (I'd want it).

"drivericentricity" happens around the steering wheel NOT on it.

People will be switching out steering wheels anyway.

Which should be pretty obvious considering the text is in a block showing the color :P

Have you ever had steering wheel-mounted controls?! Driving is wayy more fun skipping to my fave tracks or shutting the stereo off while carving canyons with my hands on the wheel and shifter at all times. Cheapo cars through exotics have it now. Life is backwards w/o it (like going from a smartphone to a dumb phone).

I understand people wanting retro/bare bones but if a safety feature saves your life and takes ZERO away from performance, why not?

But if it adds cost, ok take it away. When I'm not in the FR-S, my cheapo daily SX4 will suffice.

Yes, Subaru colour codes.

37J = Satin White Pearl
D6S = Stirling Silver Metallic
D4S = Crystal Black Silica

With the exception of a few in WRC Blue, it's pretty normal for Subaru to do limited production runs in White, Silver and Black.

Its not retro. My 09 Toyota doesn't have steering wheel control and I like it that way. If you are "carving up a mountain" then you shouldn't be twiddling your thumbs around trying to find a cool song. Focus on driving! Plus, its much more difficult to hook up the steering controls to an aftermarket radio, potentially leaving non-functional buttons on the steering wheel, which is just stupid.

I'll take a simple leather wrapped steering wheel any day. The steering wheel is the one thing I refuse to swap out due to the airbag. Hopefully the seats don't have airbags cause I plan on replacing those.

Hmm... can't say I wouldn't mind having at least, a next track button on the steering wheel.
