I doubt I'll switch my intake, but I may switch the filter with a drop in. @Dynotronics1 any gains on bolt on + tune that to can speak of?
Without a doubt...MOTIV for me. Beautiful perfect welds, top notch customer service/communication, free shipping and free t-shirt. Contact jason@motivconcepts.com and see if he will beat or match those other prices for you. He was offering discounts during the initial group buy for those who wanted the overpipe and frontpipe at the same time. You're probably on the right track with the drop in filter route! Will be glad to let you hear mine as Ricepuddin suggests - no rasp, just growl with the Perrin exhaust. With the SRT exhaust I had before, it roared!!! 4K-redline much improved!!! Often wonder now...Do I really need a tune???? But, after driving Ricepuddins tuned FRS.....yes.

MOTIV vs. stock:

MOTIV pipes with heat wrap applied:

Installed pic from above...had to unbolt engine mounts and raise engine a bit to fit the overpipe in but, messing with the underbody cladding was more of a pain than installing the exhaust!

Hey Jay, I'll give you a shout about swinging by today. Should be good weather.
Also, I ordered the touch-up paint from Universal and was told that it would take at least two weeks to arrive. I want to get my bumper chips touched up and your clear bumper bra installed before I hit up the sisters with the group.
Has anyone else had trouble finding factory touch up paint?

I waited about a month and a half for the asphalt. I ordered back in December from Toyota. I would think it'd be more readily available now.

It shouldn't be. You just have to do more sleuthing to really perfect the car. Think of it as Mythbusters the Home Game. And be ready to chuck a part if it dosen't work for your setup, it will for someone else's setup. I'd recommend you find a drive you like, run it(safely) a few times and notice how your car acts. Where does it slide? At what speeds can you enter a corner and have everything feel alright, where does it start to loose it's composure? and how? If you go to the suspension forums with a specific question "When I do *this* my car does *that*, but I want it to do *something else*" you should find some really good information. If you just ask for blanket "better handeling" you are going to get whatever the first salesman has to offer.

If you can find used parts locally thats a GREAT way to try new things. And if it dosen't work for your setup, you can probably resell it for what you paid. If you look at the old MG, Porsche, RX-7, and Honda groups they have garages full of stuff they trade around looking for the perfect setup. The 86 is still a new car, so we don't have that(yet ).

That being said, changing to heavier wheels and larger tires is going to increase the amount of spring pressure needed to control the suspension during transitions. You'll probably notice this when turning over bumpy ground, or during fast transitions such as a slalom.

And if anyone is curious, you _can_ tests suspensions in the same way as you do motors, with a suspension dyno(sorry, IDK what's up with the James Bond theme):

Well... Lookie here, somebody convinced me to go with MOTIV. I ordered the test pipe, instead of the HFC, since I have a quieter Exhaust (Greddy). I can't wait for it to get here!!!... And... I wanna say, I might need help with the over pipe, since you'r saying you had to raise the engine :/ (how the heck do I do that?!

Just so you are tracking that your touch up paint will not match and looks funny. I used some on my car and it looks hideous (paint is a off white, no pearl). This is due to the fact we have a 3 stage pearl paint there is no way to match it without repainting. If the chips are tiny, then you maybe able to get away with it.
