BRZ Limited Auto Red For Sale

I was just talking to the guys where I got my BRZ from and they told me they just got their hands on Lighting Red, BRZ, Limited, Auto from another Dealer. They will have it this week; it has 698 miles on it. That’s all the info I got. If anyone is interested contact Brent Harland or Brian Johnston at 208 237 7800 for the info. I have noted on the Forums before you will not find better or easier people to deal with than these guys at Phil Meador Subaru, I personally have bought eleven cars from Brent and Brian over the years.
I will look it over when it gets here and post an update. I hope this helps someone who is waiting or looking I remember how painful that was.

All I know was it was the owner of a Dealership in Montana had it. I will look it over and drive it Wednesday and post an update.

oh then i doubt the owner broke-in the car. He probably drove the shit out of this car cause he know he won't keep it long term.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Waiting a thousand miles to go over 4k is not breaking in anything. I will also say that beating on a cold car (likely in this case) is a great way to chew bearings.

Look at you guys so fast to make assumptions... Why not wait until you have an idea how the mileage got on the car? Depending on where the dealer in Montana is, half of that could be transportation mileage. The distance between Placer Subaru in Helena MT and the dealer in Idaho is over 300 miles.

Seriously guys, no one has any facts what so ever to justify some of the comments. All I was trying to do is let people know one was available so if the painful wait for ordering one was to much. It will be certified by the service department and have the full Subaru warranty as well as have the option to get the available Subaru extended warranty. I also know that this service department is aware of all the complaints associated with the chirping, tail lights etc and will ck for those things when they certify it.

Also as a side note the last four of the VIN is 2387 and the Owner of the Dealership in Montana registered it to himself on 8/6 after receiving it 8/2, then sold it to Phil Meador last week.

Ok here’s the last and only update on the Red BRZ. It does not have a chirp or cricket noise in the engine or condensation in the tail lamps. It does not have a mark on it, no rock chips, door zings, scratches and appears to have NOT been abused in any way. In fact it looks as brand new as mine did when I took the plastic off. Again, it is a Limited, Automatic, Chrome Fender Trim, Chrome Fuel Door Cover, Rear Bumper Appliqué and Auto Dimming Mirror with Compass. I have a pic and will post it if anyone wants it.

This is weird! I am pretty sure that is the exact car I test drove back in November here in Montana. This was my first close-up look at these cars and the drive was even better than I expected. I ordered a manual FRS after driving this one. They had a steep price on it here, almost $33,000.

It is a very nice car, I could find nothing wrong with it. No dings or scratches, no dirt under the hood, etc. Looked brand new. The story I got was a local guy buys interesting cars and trades them off if he doesn't like them. He bought this, drove to northern Montana and back, didn't like the performance and traded it in, or sold it back. I think he has owned Porsches etc. so he has certain expectations. The dealers here aren't interested in holding on to these cars because no one wants to buy a rear drive car in snow country, and this is not a real sports car community. I noticed it was gone from their lot the last couple of weeks. I think the car is fine and worth a look if anyone is interested.

At the Scion dealer they have gotten 4 cars so far, mine, one went to California, one out of state with a guy in the military, and the other might be around here somewhere. Mine will be stuck in the garage for a couple more months until the snow and ice clears off the roads, mid-March?

Wow, and I have to chime in here. I have read so many posts here on break in , how to warm up the car, how to treat the engine. The comment on driving in the cold is interesting. These engines are machines that have been developed over many years of design, testing, racing in all conditions. I think you should be careful about how you treat and maintain them, but they aren't as fragile as a basket of eggs rolling around loose on the floor. I have driven many vehicles in cold weather with very few problems, none cold related that I can recall. Besides Subaru is a very popular car in snowy, cold climates and they seem to run forever. They are everywhere. When I bought a Ford truck a few years ago the story from dealers, owners, Ford, was that the engines were pretty well broken in when you bought it, no break-in treatment recommended.

These cars are machines and tools to be used and enjoyed, I think you will be amazed at what technology has made cars capable of and how durable they are. Look at spark plugs, they are nearing car lifetime longevity. Have fun, treat it with common sense, and don't sweat all the little things, or imagine problems that don't seem to exist. Relax.
