Congrats! It's not terrible one bit!

Getting the cars touched up for C&C at the Oasis today, thankfully it didn't rain.

Btw, does anyone know of a good shop to get exhaust put on? Think I'm getting the Nameless Headerback but I don't have the jack/stands to get it up, but I've got all the other tools to do it.

Bring it down to us, we can take care of it for you.

Grab a tune while your here!

We also have the new PPE coated headers for the BRZ-FT86.

Awesome! I will definitely consider that. Getting a local tune beats anything. Got the aFe intake arriving tomorrow. Getting ready to order the Nameless Headerback very soon... waiting for them to throw on another one of their sales.

The Leander cars and coffee is going to be the first sunday of every month. The John Eagle cars and coffee is the second sunday of every month at Lake Travis.

There was only 2 FR-S' at the C&C today at the Oasis. It was my Ultramarine and another Raven FR-S blacked out with Toyota badges. Thought we'd have a bigger presence.

I'll try to announce it in advance a bit. I'd like to meet some of the Austin area owners just to chat and get ideas for parts and see where everyone is going with their builds and whatnot. It was cold today, but the turnout was decent.

How often does the Lake Travis C&C happen? That's a bit closer than heading out to Leander for me.

I had a black FR-S park next to me at Fry's earlier this week. Anyone on here want to claim that car?

I called up Mother's on I35 asking if they sold brackets for this speaker I was trying to install myself. The guy told me to come by and they gave me some spare brackets they had lying around. They didn't fit, but the fact that the guy cut open a fresh box of speakers just to give me a piece of plastic makes them A-OK in my book.

Why don't you install it yourself? Getting the panels of isn't actually that hard.

-----

I guess I can update my speaker install as well. I've got the front and rear 3.5" speakers installed. They didn't quite fit (apparently they take 4" even though everyone said 3.5" but I'm not even sure that 4"s will fit) so I managed to secure them with some washers, double-sided tape, and krazyglue.

The front speakers involve simply popping off the grilles and unscrewing the speakers with a wrench. The rears were a bit more difficult but not hard. I had to remove the rear bench seats to get the side panels off. That sounds complicated, but in actuality the whole rear seat structure is held in with 4 bolts that are easy to reach. The side panel just pulls off and pops on with clips.

Finding the bracket for the 6.5" door speakers is hard as fuck and I had to order some online, hopefully they fit and I will install those when the bracket arrives. I won't be able to comment on how the new speakers sound until I have all of them installed.

It's the second Sunday every month at the Oasis at Lake Travis. They had a mobile Dyno there last time and quite a few showed up even though it was pretty cold.

Congrats on the car! I'm a fellow Ultramarine driver myself. Gorgeous color. It's always been my favorite color and I finally have it!

Welcome to the forums too btw. Lots of helpful people here and tons of information to search always.
