Mine has been delayed again to the 11th as well.
I rang TMCA today and my car is currently awaiting loading at the port [Yokohama] - Delivery to the Dealer is Monday 11 February and pick-up for me Friday 14th

The lady said ring back later tomorrow and she could be able to tell me the name of the ship then

RO-RO ship 'Pacific Highway' currently in Yokohama - zoom in real close and see the action! I think it's loading and you can see the cars & trucks lined up on the docks

Wonder if mine is amongst them?

Firstly, welcome!!

Hmmm .. I ordered a GT MT over 6 months ago, NOT being built in either January, February or March!!

When an order is placed an estimate of 3 months is added to the month you order, when I did mine back last July it said October and since then has been pushed back month by month by month

I got so sick of it by October I rang around and managed to get a white GTS MT currently sitting on the docks in Yokohama and due at the Dealers 11 February

The tracking can be supplied the same day you order but if the Dealer told you it is 'planned production April' then all looks good. Does your 'tracking' actually say 'Planned Production April' or 'still to be confirmed'?

Well done when others are waiting another 12 months after ordering GTS's over 6 months ago!

Yeah!!!

Mine has just updated to 'In transit to Australia' - has only happened in the past 3 hours [current time is 6.15pm QLD time]

I know the 'Pacific Highway' and 'Malacca Highway' were in Yokohama today loading, so I guess it's on one of them, will ring TMCA tomorrow

Nice if they say 'Your car is on the Pacific Highway' and I will then say 'who the f***k is driving it? hahahaha

All good!! Build date was 26/12 so anyone else around that date should go check their tracking

Thanks, Yeah my salesman was quite confident that it should be in production in April but it doesn't say on the tracking yet, so he could be lying. He offered me a silver gts man last month that should of arrived a week a go but I hesitated and it got sold but I think getting the colour you want is worth it tho, also how long does it usually take for the tracking to update to show planned production?

Devilz that's the 'million dollar' question!! Your tracking runs 7-14 days behind the official TMCA system until such time as the car is loaded onto the ship, then it seems to speed up.

When I managed to get the GTS after ringing half way round Queensland it was then showing 'planned production December' and that was around mid October, so about 2 months - it them moves to 'scheduled for production/in production and the Dealer can give you the actual date. Mine at first was 21/12 build but that moved back to 26/12

Your system should update around 22/23 of each month, so keep an eye on it there, and from what I have seen, anything being built January/February would say 'planned production ......' by now.

From 'scheduled for production' until you actually get the car can be around 2 months plus, from build date of mine to me picking it up is seven [7] weeks, that being 26/12 to 14/2, but maybe that can go 5 days either way

I hope I didn't appear to be rude earlier, that wasn't the intention, just that quite a few have ordered and been told '3 months', even back in July TMCA issued a release saying '2/3 months for a GT' absolute crap! A lady at my work ordered a GTS AT I think 9/10 July and told 18 months and still being told 'around end of 2013 early 2014' so I'm screwed if I know what TMCA is doing .. it's not about the customer, it's about having 300+ Dealers and getting 250 cars a month!! You can do the numbers, they got a few extras back in November/December and that's how i scored the GTS, I took over a guys order when the Dealership got an 'extra car' that matched his order placed late May/early June pre-release, so mine's been coming that long

Just watch 'still to be confirmed' and see what happens around 23 Jan, if nothing go see the Salesperson and ask what their printout says, I hope you strike it lucky. Another good idea to get a 'feel' of delivery is start at page 1 of this thread and have a read thru, you get to see by the 'nicks' who has been waiting and some of the things some have done to get their cars

Good luck

Yeah I will definitely be sticking with it, I see you also own a mx 5 I test drove one 2 months ago before buying but when I called the guy back he already sold, it was a lot fun so my next option was an 86

Great cars, I got a 2000 NB8A that I do 'Track Days' in at Lakeside & QR and also an '89 B-SPEC, 77/150 built by Mazdaspeed as an entry level racecar - no others known of in Australia, awesome little car putting out around 105kW when 'standard' is around 83kW, not bad for a 1.6 litre! Both are registered and current 'daily drives'

The 86 won't be doing 'track', but I'm sure it will visit to spectate quite a bit!
