Meth/Water vs. Nitrous are apples and oranges.

Meth/Water is a better and cheaper substitute than race gas. It cools the air down because of the water. The meth adds octane (prevents detonation) which allows you to run more boost and/or more timing - though for this example I will not be tuning for meth.. just want it's cooling properties and safety.

Nitrous is a power added with the increased chance of KABOOM. Though it does a good job of cooling the IAT

You completely misread my post. I was simply stating that it is possible to place meth/water injectors on the runners. Thanks for explaining the obvious differences between the two.

Adding a meth kit is just another potential source of failure that's annoying on a street car/DD. I've yet to see a kit I like with a fail-safe I trust.

Snow Performance offers a lot of fail safe stuff to retard timing, decrease boost, etc. if there's a failure in the meth injection system, and I don't see why I wouldn't trust a fail safe based on a flow sensor. But all that gets so expensive that it's just not worth it.

I don't think you would ever add a Fmic with out serious tuning consequences on this kit...

^^Yeah that. It gets expensive for a PROPER meth setup (a jet in each runner, multiple fail-safes, etc.)...Hell, I think I've already spent somewhere around 15% of the car's value in mods, spending another 20% on FI just makes my wallet shrivel up in fear.

FMIC will never happen unless the manifold is completely redesigned. The air has to be cooled after it goes through the SC and as is it goes intake>SC>Manifold. With the SC bolted directly to the manifold it's kind of impossible to take the air out, cool it, and put it back in.

I think people are still considering an air to water to be a FMIC. Since the heat exchanger is still front mounted.

Which is all a FMIC is..... a front mounted heat exchanger.

Guess it's a hard concept to grasp.
