What is this, the civil war?
It sort of leaves out the central cali people into choosing one or the other. There is more to CA than just the North and south.

Other forums I go on usually have a separate central section as well, but it seems there is much less activity. Unless its something needed local they usually drift into the Northern or Southern sections

anything is better than nothing; as it is, we are forced to sift through a bunch of threads that are not relevant or useful to us in order to find what we are looking for.
a mandatory thread tag helps, but won't remove the clutter.
