Wouldn't it be possible to replace the relay that turns off the power to the windows for a relay that stays on all the time and that way tap turn works all the time? Just brainstorming, I have no idea if that is the way it works.
You mean ..autowindow works all the time? ...

Of course, Tapturn does work all the time.

I think it's worthy to start another thread to move the AutoWindow exploration over there, and leave this one to just Tapturn. Might confuse the masses, or me, or you.

And thanks for the schematics I'll have a look at it.

Sweet, this is definitely one of those things I expected on a new car like the BRZ. My dad's 07 BMW had this, and it was super convenient when I drove it. Figured they'd at least get it to a lower-cost car by 2013, but I guess not, will be buying the module very soon!

Got my Tap Turn. Nicely packaged. The case of the device looks just like the OEM flasher. Very professional. I bet the average Toyobaru technician would never notice that it's an aftermarket flasher. Works just as advertised. Really cool. Thanks again Scott!

A few install notes:
1) You cannot remove the cable from the original flasher without removing the flasher from under the dash. If you just pull straight down fairly hard the clip holding the OEM flasher will come out of the dash.
2) There are some sharp metal parts above where the flasher is located, don't cut yourself like I did.
3) You can move the clip from the OEM flasher unit and attach it to the Tap Turn and then reattach it to the original location.

And soon has arrived just now, I see your order, thanks!

For everyone's sake who has placed an order the next batch ships on Monday. If you have a payment in and not received a unit yet, it is in this batch that is going out. Back from my vacation now!

Great extra install tips for this car, helpful to others!

What do think of the sound volume of Tapturn as it was done for yours (compared to stock)?

It's a brand thing. My 2010 base model Cobalt had it.

Just received mine yesterday and put in place today. The instal tips from"developer" was very usefull as really it is impossible to unplug without deconnecting from the dash. Re-use the original clip and every things are allright. 10 minutes maximum the only difficulty is the head in the pedals....Functionning as stated in the instructions sheet, i modified to 4 flashes as in France 3 is considered too short. The only thing is that the warning button on the dash do not light but i dont remember if it does with the original. Very great system and the use of a microcontroler is a good idée.

I also set mine to 4 flashes, after a week I am used to only "taping" the indicator when changing lanes. Works great in my BRZ!
