Proper touch up requires wet-sanding and multiple coats. Saw a pro detailer do a couple rock chips on a Guards Red Porsche....you couldn't tell without getting a close look.

F@#K was the first thing that popped into my mind the exact car colour and transmission I want

The down side is we have just booked to move inter state and paid out a lot on moving costs and the wife needs to find a job still not knowing how long that will be though

the worst part is we have our car booked in for inter state shipping at the moment and are saving to go to the states in September for a month as well as looking at buying a house at the end of the year.

Why now WHYYYYY!!!! with an 18mth waiting list here in AUS it is so tempting but it will make things so hard for this year

So wife called me back and said go you need to buy that thing damn i have the best wife in the world she skipped work early to force me to go and buy an 86

got to the dealer and he was out with some other guy test driving the car I wanted his partner was listen in to my chat she looked pissed


Other salesman "he will be back in 10 mins"

Me "is he going to buy it?"

Other salesman "first in best dressed"

Me "really"

Other salesman "yes"

Me "I'LL TAKE IT, here's my deposit"

Other salesman "ok"

paperwork being done signed on the dotted line when the guy came back from the test drive

If you are a user here I am sorry buddy no hard feelings but I really wanted that car :happy0180:

So to end this hopefully by tomorrow afternoon or Monday I will have my new 86 GTS

Oh and the original sales guy got the sale as well which makes me happy for his work

Here it is in Toyota's storage area waiting to be cleaned

I know felt like a real prick. he did order an Orange GT though which is the one he really wanted. and I got a White GTS which is what I wanted.

I feel worse for people that have already ordered and are waiting for theirs to arrive and this one does not get picked up and they sell it to me and not filling an order that has been made from back in April

I guess it is bitter sweet

Hah, sorry man. I should have included something to help you out on what I meant; definitely talking about the previous owner's work. Glad to see the forum had me covered though
