Headlight washers are required on Xenon lights I thought. With dirty headlights the lights get scattered blinding on coming traffic. So normally they will come on after 3 consecutive windshield washes. Someone with a BRZ factory xenon would be able to confirm this.

If you've been to England during their incessant rainy weather you would see why.

The Aussie GTS has these too. They come on everytime you use your windscreen washer jets (pull the wiper stick towards you), provided your headlights are on.

It's a two stage thing, where your windscreen sprays and wipes once, then stops and your headlights dim and they get sprayed, then your wipers keep going another two times.

It's actually required by law to have headlight washers in some countries.

It should be required by law here too. You would not believe the number of people in the northwest that don't seem to understand that you have to clean your headlights once in a while.
