I usually sport a local vendor plate but when I don't, I use the ones you can find at Auto Zone. It's not like the traditional frame, more like a small lip. It gives a little rigidity to the plate and it looks clean.
Ninja edit: my memory is going. It's the slim rim type...

I like the color matched idea a lot! I would just have to find a thin frame because my plate says "Pacific Wonderland" at the bottom and I would like to keep it visible.

I would totally rock that Boxer one if it was just black and white. Trying to keep other colors off my car...
And I really like the color matching! You should sell those since a lot of us aren't skilled enough to make our own :p I'm thinking something black and simple. I just hate those little tabs for the screw holes. Wish there was a way to not see those... |
