Gmookher wants racing wheels 17x8.5 or 17x9 lowest weight options? VENDORS LOOK HERE

I am not up on my wheel research. In no rush to buy, but want to look at my options
Who can suggest wheels in the following sizes,

17x8.5 or 17x9 lowest weight options
I think I would not want any 17x8, so lets pass on those

to replace my current OZ HLTs that will go onto our other BZR as 'her track tires' for the NA BRZ, this thread is seeking a listing of two or three lightweight high quality wheels, ideally not the most expensive ones that can get beat up and scuffed up as track wheels, so aesthetics is sorta secondary, that will go on my Vortech supercharged BRZ for track tires

My current wheels are like 15.4-15.6 lbs each, 17x7.5 they were bought to wear 225 r-comps at the track, and they will be fine for that car. She's done. Light wheel light tire have fun. Wear oiut the star specs on there, then she can have a stickier set for fun

Back to my ride:

I want to stay as light as possible for mine.

-Used fine
-other OE wheels that may fit the bill is fine
-vendors who can offer a deal is fine

lets try and narrow this down for me, and go a little wider

What's your budget?

How much of a concern is rigidity and strength?

budget is open, dont want to pay more "than I have to"

they are for r-comps and track use, so they need to be stout
as usual, not seeking anything cheapy, and if I need to buy more expensive, I can do so,

that is fine, just tell me why it cost more and how it benefits me, time, or strength wise etc

thx in advance!

17x9 +35 I think about 17 pounds.
Price I think is about 400 a wheel, maybe a little more. There is a team dynamics wheel, pro race something that is made to order and can be had hub centric. They aren't as light as the weds but are very strong and hub centric so no need for rings. I will link them when I get back to work.

Other 17x9 5x100 wheels
Enkei rpf1(very popular track wheel)
Gram light 57dr
Oz racing formula hlt

Volk CE28N 17x9 is 14.8lbs and would be plenty strong enough. the time attack variant is 16lbs but i'm not sure you can get it in 5x100.

I'd say RPF1 unless you want to pony up for some forged wheels.

I'm also a fan of the OZ Alleggerita, but it sounds like your other car already runs a set of OZ. I'm not sure if you wanted to get something different.

You could probably get a set of used ce28 for about 1.5-2k if you have the patience. A new set is about 3k I believe. They are forged wheels.

Not the cheapest wheel around, probably around $500 a corner. Less if a sale is going on.

If you're keeping price in mind, TSW Nuburgrings would be a good option. Not the width you want, but you can still run a decent sized tire on this:

17x8's come in either a ET35 or ET45 offset, both of which would be 17.95lbs, and the cost of which is really low as well, saving you extra money to spend on better tires, or more mods, or that next track day you want to go to

Rotary forged construction puts them in the category of BBS, Advan and a few others that use the same process as well, so they're a serious contender for a lot less than those big name brands.
