Found a great guy in GTA to wrap my dash pieces

So, bought some 3M Dinoc to wrap my dash pieces per this thread here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ght=dash+dinoc

But for the life of me, I couldn't get the Dinoc to wrap nicely around the radio opening even with a hair dryer in one hand & burned fingers on the other

So off to Kijiji I went to check out some installers in the area. Called and emailed a few places but one guy stuck out - the ad said he's a "certified installer"... I know, I know, they can say anything they want in a Kijiji ad but somehow I gravitated to this ad since I'm anal about getting a perfect job done on my car, especially since I'll be looking at those pieces whenever I'm in the car, and the thought of a "certified" installer intrigued me.

So, met up with the guy and briefly saw the work he did on his own ride & it looked good, and I was thinking "hey, what the heck, let's give this guy a try". Price was right. Worst comes to worst I could rip out the wrap & Plastidip it comes spring if the job wasn't to my liking.

I must say I was extremely happy with the work done by this fella. Check it out:

To top it off, this guy LOVES our cars (who doesn't really ) He's a regular on TM3 but I'm forwarding this thread to him & maybe he'll become a regular here too. Anyway, thanks Reymando!!

In the meantime, if you guys want some work done (especially yous who aren't happy with the silver Subie panels), PM me for now and I'll pass along your info to him. Not sure if he wants me to post his contact info here as he did mention he's somewhat of a busy body...

How much did you pay for just the dash pieces? Do you know if he does some of the other pieces in our cars as well, like the door handle?

I paid $50 labour to wrap the 2 pieces - I brought him the material and I removed the pieces from the car myself. I'm sure he could do the door handles as well - not sure if he can remove them or if you need to remove them for him. Lemme know if you want me to ask him. Cheers.

Edit: forgot to mention, the installer ended up using his own 3M 1080 wrap instead of the 3M Dinoc I gave him as we both preferred the smaller weave pattern on the 1080.

Hey Guy's!

Reymando here from TM3 known as the plasti dip guru of Canada and if you need to know more about plasti dip here is my link! Just a little info about me, I've got my certs about almost 8 months now and I have about over 16 full wraps done by me, about 14 half wraps, over 20 of interior wraps without using any blades at all just my scissors and knife less tape and this summer coming I'm getting heavy replies from word of mouth and bookings is the key.

Also if you need to speak to me in person, just PM Slant and he will forward my contact info. Looking forward getting my own FRS soon!

That looks great Slant only I could see it in person. Do let me know if anyone needs info about wraps and dips, I'm your man.

Thanks,

Reymando

Hello again,

I may just have to use this thread to make a post. I have someone from Scion dealership in the west end location who my be interested wrapping their show case FRS in Blue Chrome with accents of blue carbon trims. If I do land this contract I may have to post on this website when completed and that's if they decide to go through that root...

Thanks,
