Wouldn't you rather have optimal performance, in every condition? Not just the track, but things like control over bumpy/uneven surfaces, stability, good road feel, etc... Seems like 4-6 degrees of negative camber will feel less stable and have less contact patch under braking and acceleration. |

I have no problem with lowered cars, stretched but functional tires, big camber adjustments, but there's a safe way to do that and then there's the ghetto way of doing it. The ghetto way of doing it can get you and others killed on the streets. That's no bueno.

Yet that car will see more track time and aggressive driving than your car ever will.
There's a fine line. I love stanced cars but not ones that stick wheels on just to say they did it. A decent amount of camber, and a little stretch goes a long way. I think a 9.5 +30-44mm is perfect on our cars. Enough aggressiveness without destroying fenders, tires, etc. |

I don't see how that much camber is for performance.. I'm not a chassis or suspension guy, but I understand what a couple degrees of camber is used for.. I DON'T understand stretch ... At all... i guess I come from a time when tires needed to be fatter then the rim.. I don't get the fat rim and narrow tire.. Get a tire that fits the rim.. Or if the tire you have to get to fit the car.. Then get the proper size rim to fit.. I love a car that sits low.. The lower the better as far as looks go.. I come from big bodied SUV's on bags with the rockers on the ground.. I love the look.. But don't understand the stance and big camber thing.. And as far as the 86 in the post above..
![]() A 1/3 of the tire is being used.. I don't see performance any where |
