LOL. Hell I worked a 9 to 5 job in insurance claims and rode motorcycles all my life owning more Harleys than probably anything else. I guess the only thing different about me was I didn't wear dew rags, wife beaters or change out my factory exhausts. Still there's some poser in all of us or we wouldn't be driving the cars we do.

Thanks guys, I definitely won't lose any sleep over it... I just was curious what that persons perception of my car most likely was... I love my car, and that's all that matters.

I always loved the poser coments I got when I used to ride. They only got worse the nicer my bikes got. Started with a 96 GSXR750 which eventually died due to a cam shaft actually snapping in the head which then proceeded to chew up the rest of the engine...got called a poser because thats what crotch rocket riders supposedly were to everyone back then...When i finally moved up to 1000cc bikes I got called a poser because "you don't need that much power on the street" even though i occasionally took it to track days.

My last bike was the best though...I paid $20k for my Aprilia RSV4, which was pretty much my dream bike, threw about $10k at it with all intention of tracking it...and got called a poser because it wasn't a GSXR...can't win. But I'll tell you right now every single GSXR, CBR, ZX, R1, and even Ducati rider had that look of pure envy when they heard that 200hp V4 start up and make sounds that could only be described as what a motorcycle should sound like.

I'm surprised I haven't had anyone talk shit about my car...my friends at first laughed, then they saw it in person and got a ride...now they ask if I'll bring it back out to SD so we can go drive up to Julian in it...

It's pretty sad when someone feels so insecure about their own life that they feel the need to go out of their way to bash on others. I'd feel more pity than rage for them.

Let Haters hate, thats their job, and we need haters..lol. I get lots of compliments on my car, and I am quite greatful that toyota made a sports car again that is as humble as this car is. Its a beautiful design and honestly it doesnt get much better for the price.

Don't worry about it. You know, the best way to describe the FR-S is that it's the sports car version of the jet fighter trainers the air force uses to train fighter pilots before they begin their training in the F16/15/22/18/ etc. They do most everything the 'real' fighters do but are a little slower, more forgiving and of course less expensive.
