I have no qualms with the interior of the BRZ I bought. The leather seats are nice, and the things that get touched feel great. It's hard to see through the tire smoke anyway :P

Are the dash and door panels made of better material in the BRZ compared to the FRS? I mean, I knew that some compromises were made with this car, but the interior felt like it came out of a $13k Scion xB or Nissan Versa. A real shocker.

Again...my one and only point was: "Craftsmanship" is a silly word to use to describe a car interior that is not built or assembled by a craftsman. That was my only point...It's like saying I love my car because of how well the artist did with the paintjob...sheesh...

This is really no big deal...it was just a simple comment. I thought that's what internet forums were for. If the guy gets a boner over the "craftsmanship" of his Honda interior, more power to him. I just thought it was funny...

Must be personal tastes, I guess. A lot of people like German interiors. But they feel every bit as cheap as everything else to me. Generally speaking. jmho

It took you ten years to realize the "craftsmanship" of your Honda interior. Give it another ten years and maybe you'll realize the interior of the FR-S isn't that bad?

I've only had my S2000 for a year so it didn't take me ten years. What it took was seeing the interior of the FRS. In comparison, the FRS made the S2000 feel as if it came off the Acura production line.

Seems like another minivan or Civic shitted on you in your FRS/BRZ today. Sorry you're not having a good day. Go trade it in for an S2000.

Fair enough.

lol...if Honda was still making them I probably would...I've always loved and wanted an S2000...although I still wouldn't go on car forums and blather on about the "craftsmanship" of the interior...

Well this thread has turned into a huge clusterfuck....lol. I still want a BRZ and will most likely get one since my S2K has 100k miles and it's my only car. I'd rather have a newer, more practical car and save up for a low mileage S2K later in life to have as a weekend car.

With that said, I do agree that the S2K interior is of higher quality than the BRZ/FRS, along with most other parts of the car. But you're comparing a $32k flagship roadster to a $25k sports car, so shouldn't that be expected?

I actually prefer the BRZ Limited AC controls to the switchgear in the S2K. I can't think of any other part of the S2K interior that's any better than any part of the BRZ/FRS. Secret compartment plastic is cheap, cup holder plastics is cheap, rear plastics is cheap, dash top material is cheap, door panels are the same quality, I prefer the BRZ Limited seats over the S2K materials too.

I am slightly biased I guess. I don't miss my S2K at all.

I appreciate your input. Part of me feels like I'd really regret getting rid of the S2K so it helps to hear someone's perspective who has owned both.

Where in FL are you? You can drive my car if you haven't driven one yet.

Haven't driven a BRZ. Can't even find one. I'm in Palm City (treasure coast area). Where are you located?
