If I'm driving a semi I cross the line on the right and the tires start throwing all the little rocks out. The brake check is the first warning then it's the rocks. I know it's a **** move but the last thing I need is some asshole hitting my rig and making my day longer.

I get so scared next to a big-rigs... I learned in physics that if you're driving next to one you're actually being pulled towards the big-rig. Like holy shit.

Talk about big rigs.
I remember these three asshole truck drivers that deliberately drove in all three lanes next to each other and blocked out other drivers from getting past them. My father was at the wheel and some how saw an opportunity to get by one of them on the shoulder. I remember this pretty well cause my father was actually cursing during this which he rarely does, And am I the only one who isn't scared to drive next to a big rig? Unless its snowing, I try to stay away from big rigs if its really shitty outside.

![]() I hate driving next to big rigs. I got cut off by one when I was almost halfway up the side passing it. Slammed on my brakes, they locked up, and I just barely missed getting clipped by the rear bumper. Luckily my car at the time had a very low hood line. |

I don't understand that if there are two available lanes to pass, why are people tailgating you? Sounds like douchebaggery.
Here in Canada (and especially Ontario), it is common that most people will do 15-20 km/hr (roughly 10 or 12 MPH) faster than the limit on the highway. Obviously anything more than 15 km/hr is pushing your luck with the police. Personally, I have a problem if someone is going less than the posted limit because most limits are set unnecessarily slow, but, I could care less if I can go around a slow poke. I have observed that most people feel an irresistable urge to go to the far left lane when they should obviously be in the slow lanes. As a result, I can quite often have more open road by being in the far right lane going faster than everyone in the "supposed" passing lanes. If you are going slow in the far left lane and can get over, then you deserve to be tailgated. I am typically not the slowest car in traffic, but, if someone is approaching my backside in the passing lane (yes, everyone should occasionally check their mirrors), I will get out of the way regardless if they are disobeying the speed limit. I still remember a time when I was going probably about 30 over (almost 20 mph) back in my younger and less wise years that some car was approaching from behind me in a hurry (it was especially noticeable because the car had HID's (back when they were new)), I obviously moved over and a Porsche 911 Turbo went flying by me as if I was standing still and had to have been going about double the speed limit. Everybody was happy. The Porsche passed and I wasn't tailgated - simple. |

99% of the time I'll move over a lane or use a pullout if on a two lane road. Only time I'll block is if I'm stuck in traffic and the tailgater is attempting to weave. If they try to pass me on the right, I'll move close enough to the car in front of me so that they don't have room to cut me off.
I like to get places efficiently, and I firmly believe that other motorists should be respectful and give way to faster drivers, and use space efficiently while stuck in traffic. If someone is hogging the left lane with no one in front of them, leaving buslengths of space in front of them in traffic, or driving 55mph-85mph and not watching their speed, I'll tailgate and pass on the right at the first opportunity I get. I leave anyone and everyone else alone. If you're going to tailgate, do it with a purpose. That's why I can't stand people who indiscriminately tailgate, or think that they're somehow going to get to their destination faster by sticking on the ass of every car in front of them.
