The LFA website does not say much about the availability or price of the Nurburgring setup. Have they all been sold? What exactly does that car cost?

So many incredible super cars these days, it's hard to keep them straight.

LFA line is done, they are all sold and none are being made anymore.

But Lexus will have a new poster boy soon...most likely Hybrid but it keeps things more interesting that way!

I saw the photo of Akio in the 500th car, I guess I am just surprised I have not heard more buzz about cars with the 'Ring package being delivered to US customers. Then again I haven't really been looking for updates. Slightly out of my budget.

I believe ONLY 50 of the total production run were Nurburgring spec.

Great photo isn't it?

Yep, it captured a special moment.

I'm sure he has those special moments with every Camry gold edition that comes off the line.

In the National Geographic (was it that?) documentary that Guff posted, they said it was 70000 dollars...quite a bit of money for some engine tweaks, fixed wing, and brakes.

I think I've seen a Carrera GT fly by at 100mph or something on the freeway, wasn't sure though so doesn't count. I've seen a DBS before but that's cheaper than the LFA. Seen a Ferrari FF, still cheaper than LFA. I don't think I've never seen a Lambo Aventador (or Murcielago for that matter) before, nor have I seen an Aston One-77, Koenigsegg, Pagani Zonda, or McLaren F1, so I think this Nur spec LFA wins.

Since there are only 50 of them in the world, I guess that beats the McLarens in terms of rarity?

think my favorite car i've seen (on the road, not at a car show) was an old Countach when i still lived up in NY. we were going to the beach (i think, it was a really long time ago), and this dude passed us going faster than hell, and dissapeared into the distance. later on, we were driving over a bridge, and the same car passed underneath us. very sexy car

Oh, strangely, the heating element in the O2 sensor decided to work just fine today and yesterday. Weird. I'll see if it keeps on working, if it gives me more problems I might just have to get a cheapo Bosch sensor and use that until I sell the car and replace with a Denso.

My front O2 in the WRX did something very similar...I ended up replacing it anyway.

I guess I must be the only one that finds the LFA to be a huge disappointment...

Way too expensive for what it is.
Not exactly pretty or exotic looking.
Slower than almost all of it's competitors.
Horrible rear end design.
Slower than a 2012 GT-R Black Series which costs a 1/4 of what the LFA demands.

It's great and all that toyota made a real supercar, but the LFA is hardly iconic.

But hey, it does have one of the coolest gauge clusters ever.

Also don't forget that it is fundamentally a massive slap in the face to the grassroots Toyota enthusiasts that paid for its funding (I owned a fucking Tercel back in the day).

'I know, let's pay back our loyal customers by making a supercar for sex-tape making, functionally retarded socialites living off of daddy's millions, that our loyal customers can't even buy if they happen to win the lottery because of our sales policy.'

However in Paris' defense, she does look like she gives fantastic head.

I dunno, I think that the induction growl on the inside of the cabin sounds pretty lame (at least on recordings), but the exhaust music it makes is a great addition to the community

I also like the looks, but I think they could've scaled the car down a little in size, it is SO f***ing huge in person. By comparison, the McLarens sitting outside the dealership here look like an SW20 MR2 in size. Would've helped with the performance too, that thing is unacceptably heavy for being nearly fully composite construction.
