Or you know-the person speeding can be the one who changes lanes since after all they're the one in a hurry

I know that's probably going to piss off intotheocean, but that has to be my biggest pet peace ever. It's disrespectful, dangerous and against the law, here at least. If you tried that in Greece you'd be shot and your car would be pushed off a cliff.
It's actually illegal to drive in the passing lane in nj, I apply that in ny as well since it bothers me as well when someone goes painfully below speed limit.
And yeah, I change lanes-problem solved.

Backwards mentality. If there is room to your right, move over. Do not be in the left lane unless you are turning or passing. It's etiquette (and law elsewhere).

If your in the passing lane and someone is moving faster than you, then you need to MOVE the F**K over, hence the reason it is the passing lane...making someone shift lanes to the right of the passing lane is dangerous and illegal!

I should have been more clear about the far right lane. I kind of thought it was a given, being I normally drive slow I avoid that lane. What pisses me off is that there are two open lanes on both sides of me! Why can't they ever change lanes.

Read above ^ also, last time I checked it was illegal in nj not ny.
None the less lol I DONT DO that.
Funny I actually annoyed someone cause they fully believed that the far right lane wasn't a 'passing lane'

I cannot stand being tailgated. IMO it is one of the most dangerous things you can do on the road. If I need to do an emergency break they will crash into me. Causing me to have more energy crashing into the thing in front of me, that I could have potentionally avoided or atleast not been as bad of a crash.

I keep to the left where possible (in Aust, we drive on the LHS of road). I tend to keep over the speed limit quite a lot. I will merge into the right lane when I am overtaking.

If I get tailgated I will slow down. Most of the times when I have tailgating issues it is on single way roads. I wll change my lane where possible to get them away from me.

If the person does not get the hint after I have slowed down. I will speed up quickly and most times they will be up my ass again so I break hard. Repeat process a few times and they generally get the point. If they still dont, this is when the fun starts. If on a dual carriageway I will intentionally find a slow car and copy their speed. They're now blocked. After they have changed lanes to the slow car and tailgated them I will speed up giving them enough hope that I will let them through, then slow down once they're back behind me. Beeps and flashes commmence. I will wave kindly to them once they or I need to turn and laugh when they're flipping me off.

In that case...lol, it is entirely understandable to remain in your lane, I do the same thing when I just want to cruise at the speed limit. The only time I change lanes is when I'm in the far left lane and someone is moving faster than me(which is proper road etiquette), however if someone is riding my ass for an extended period of time and I'm in the mid or right lanes I'll just downshift till they get the point.

Haha yeah, I once casually changed lanes because (back in the day when my car actually worked) I was approaching someone going slow in the far right lane, so like I said I changed lanes a good distance behind her-I look over and she gave me the middle finger-I was totally confused. But than again she could have had the same mentality my ex did which was you didn't have to go fast in that lane. Smh
-I'm not saying go dangerously fast so that you endanger your life but I gotta draw the line at some point.
My main issue with people is when I'm either in the left or middle lane on the highway and there is absolutely no one else on the road besides us (I do most of my highway driving late at night)

I use to do this on my long ass one lane commutes early in the mornings.

if they start tailgating - I would just casually start swerving left and right just a bit every now and then. They'd get the message that being close to me was not in their best interest real fast - haha

I dont do anything. I just cruise along not giving a sh**. I always drive speed limit anyway or in excess so anyone tailgaiting me is going wayyy too damn fast.

ok, I think there was a minor misunderstanding here. We pretty well only have two lane roads here and I thought you were talking about being in the left of two lanes.

My bad.

Me... Either 1.box them in with other slower traffic
2. Simply slow down (sometimes 20mph) until they change lanes than I book it. (just to make it obvious I was messing with them)

I also heard of someone who would flick pennies out of his sunroof. (I hope he was lying)
Anyway - share some good stories.
Damn it sucks you don't live anywhere around me , coz I'd teach you a damn good lesson if you tried that on the road with me ! (Driving move I learned in Finland)
Your pathetic for boxing someone in , people have emergencies . I hope one day your in an emergency and someone boxes you like a bawsssss , so you get to meet this new bitch called karma.

depends on what is happening. if they are being jerks, i will just lightly ride the brakes with my left foot just to give me some space. if im being slow, ill just get over.
