Here is a quick sample of the prototype brake kit that's currently in development.
No clearance issues at full lock with suspension loaded. ![]() You can see (....kinda) the 6061-T6 aluminum backing plate inside the brake rotor. forces cool air to pass through the rotor vents. ![]() From the front view with wheels straight. You can see where we had to trim some of the fender lining for the hose to pass through. ![]() view from under the car. See the bumper Duct. ![]() We could barely notice the bumper duct was even there.... ![]() Hope you enjoyed.... NOW Looking for someone in a warmer state to put it to the test! |

He had a great DIY for his clutch/flywheel swap, Lives in AZ, Has a turbo coming in, so he will need better stopping power. I'm guessing he'd give you solid feedback judging from his writeup on his new clutch, and DIY.

First, I'm not crazy about the accordion tubing. I know it's less expensive, but if you're out driving on a Rainy day, and it takes in water... Will it stagnate and get dirty in there? It will hold in track dust, and lord knows what else I pick up during my daily drive. This brings up another option. Intake covers. A snap on "lid" that will cover the ducting intake to protect it from taking in any unwanted debris. You can cover the ducting when your car isn't being tracked, and quickly snap it off for when it is. This will keep anything unwanted away from the ducts, and your rotors as well. That leads to the final thought. Positioning. If you were to incorporate the last bit, you would want them easily accessible from the outside of your vehicle, without having to climb around to open and close the ducts. Something similar to http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...52&postcount=1 would work, with a fog lamp swap out, or perhaps another alternative that you could come up with. Just a few random thoughts.
