I think what he is telling you is that the Ebrake does not squeeze on the rotor with your rear brake pads. It uses a drum brake style engagement system. Could be wrong if its not like other subarus.

thats probably true, but either way when metal is heated up it spreads out the heat. therefore the drum part of the rotor will still be affected... thats my theory anyways.. could be wrong.

then you are still in the sti for more money, the reason he said SC it and it will eat it is because then you have to equally priced cars.

if you are gonna ague based on this logic it would be stupid to get the frs over just buying a miata and supercharging that or the host of any cheaper cars that will turn faster laptimes when spending money in the aftermarket instead of oem. why arent you guys running around in mustangs? the gt can be had for frs money and mod for mod will always stomp the frs.

dont confuse what im saying for frs hate. i love the car. the problem is that when you talk about "eating" cars and dollars, you are making an objective argument. objectively the frs is a very poor option for a sports car.

I love the stock vs my modded car will pwn you discussion. At the end of the day, the Honda 2000 with $100,000 will always win.

Ask any racer, any real racer. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.

That's were ur wrong again. The mustang is heavy & cant corner for crap. Trust me. A friend has a new 5.0 & I smoked it at the track. Both of us had catback & that's all

oh of course. because you have anecdotal evidence of someone in an frs beating someone in the mustang, it must be slower than the frs. last time i went to the track, i was faster than an rx7, evo, and m5. does that mean that an ae86 is faster than those cars?

i dont know where i was wrong the first time but i dont think im wrong again. why would i trust your opinion over things like facts and professional opinion?

Was just at Big Willow this past week and saw my car leave plenty of high HP cars in the dust. My buddy who normally races a Cayman S, took it out and was leaving STI's, WRZ's, and Z's in the dust, there were some bigger cars he probably could have given a good run, but they all slowed down and killed his momentum. ZR6 i believe slammed on the breaks on the back straight killing his momentum onto turn 8, otherwise he would have been ahead by the front straight.

It's all about the driver, i've seen this car do some amazing things, i'm not as fast a driver but if you put it in someones hands who's experienced you can take cars like that in the turns no problem.

Fact? I have plenty of records that have been recorded where ive beat mustangs & camaros at the track. We're all here for the frs for the same reason NOBODY HERE GIVES A DAMN ABOUT STRAIGHT LINE DRAG RACING CRAP! If u do, sorry to say but ur in then wrong forum. This car is fast! Maybe not in straight lines like a mustang, but like I said, who here cares?
