Hey @Dimman, someone on ecomodder suggested extending the stock top with cloth...cloth flying buttresses :O This should be extremely easy with some silicone glue (I am too lazy to sew the edges are you kidding me, silicone should be strong enough) assuming there exists some kind of awesome double side tape that I can plaster all over the first section of the roof. Another question is what cloth...anyone know if a tailor would carry some kind of heavy duty polyester cloth? A quick spray with rubber sealant and then spray on vinyl paint (vinyl base) should make it pretty weatherproof methinks.

So maybe these ragtops aren't all bad afterall...

I'm also making a spoiler, what material do you think I should use? I'm currently thinking balsa wood since I could just sand it down to the shape I want...
Is the cloth going to be made out of carbon fiber inside a cured epoxy matrix?

As for the spoiler, use polystyrene insulation board. In Canada we can get it at any Lowes or Home Depot, but they might stock different stuff in Cali. You want the fine, closed-cell stuff. You can make a hot-wire 'saw' that will cut the stuff like butter with a wood frame, car battery, electrical wire and a resistance wire (guitar) for the cutting element. Smoke is toxic, though. It sands super easily, too and any cheap serrated kitchen knife is a suitable saw. Once you have your shape you can seal it by painting it with carpenters glue, sand it smooth. Then paint it with auto spray paint. But make sure it is totally sealed, since the paint will dissolve the foam. It will be very fragile, but skipping any fiber reinforcement is easy, and it will be retardedly light. Mounting may be an issue, though.

This is a quick summary from making rocket-cars to drag race in my high-school Power Mechanics class.

General Ackbar would agree.

Yup, it's customary to tip at hotels. Maids, bellhops are typically a minimum wage jobs or less in certain cases. I know waiters/waitresses can make less than minimum wage due to certain laws so they typically depend on tips.
What Serial said. Japanese I tutor are baffled by the concept when they come here. I mean a lot know about it, but their logic is that the worker should be doing everything in their power to provide the customer with the best possible service, because that is what they agreed to do when they accepted a job that is already paying them to do that. I get asked by the long-term students (rather than tourists) what the 'appropriate' tip is quite often. I tell them that it varies, but 15% is common. Then they will generally tip exactly 15% all the time, treating it like an unspoken tax. On top of our ordinary 12% HST. Ouch...

I did not know about places in the US that pay less and expect an employee's tips to bring them up to minimum wage. Canadian labour laws say no to that.

First and only year. I think last year of the teacher teaching it, too.

Teacher first tried with the small CO2 bottles, but the launch setup wouldn't always puncture the ends, then he was all 'Fuck it, model rocket motors instead.' There were some safety issues. There was a safety wire that they were attached to to keep them straight, but the attachment was a plastic straw glued to a foam car. Powered by a rocket. There were some exciting mishaps, but no injuries.

School didn't get an actual Auto shop until the year after I grad'd, so all I got was that (awesome) and rebuilding a lawn mower engine (not awesome).

Can't say I wasn't fully expecting this, but this idea of stealing this girl away from a friend of mine is being put to action by my friends. As of now we're all friends with each other and know the girlfriend just as well. Mainly my boy and his girl are leading the way, while convincing everyone else, into telling me why I should try to seduce this certain girl away, but I'm not about to do this because I know its wrong. In their first attempt (I was unaware of) to get me and her together which was suppose to be during our new years party. She was a no-show, due to beef with another chick, but that won't stop them from trying again. And I can only see unwanted drama down the road if they keep at it.

For me there's nothing worse than friends trying to set you up with a girl. Your situation sounds 100x crappier.

You can make it as funny. You can be Casey. Weave the plot twists into your real jobs. Report back. This is going to be great.

Does paying for college qualify?

University West Georgia last day is 4/26/2013. Pretty much standard for Georgia state colleges give or take a day or two.

Depends on the school. When I was in college the spring semester let out the first week of May.

This was at a public state college in MD.
