subatoy is correct. I had a range of pulleys on my roots blower I could change between 7, 9 and 11 psi... each one getting a little smaller. At 320 they definitely have a small pulley on there.

Depends on the pulley size, but when you get to the smaller ones, you usually do. My friend had to change the belt size on his GTP when going to a smaller pulley.

In the case of that SC (Jackson Racing), there was enough adjustment available in their tensioner to tighten the belt for smaller pulley sizes. Their setup replaced the car's stock spring tensioner. I'm curious how they are doing it on the Innovate kit. I hope they have spent some time creating a great design for routing and keeping tension on the belt.
The position where the Innovate SC is mounted is great. Just look at the amount of belt wrap around that pulley. It should mean you can run a very small pulley and the belt won't slip over it even at extremely high RPM... as long as the belt remains tight. If the belt slips you start losing psi. |

Looking closely at this, I now think all they had to do was add a single bracket and new pulley in the location I noted to route the belt. I believe they have retained the stock tensioner in its original location. The tensioner and its pulley are immediately beneath the new pulley. If this is right, I think it's a very good (and fortunate) situation. The stock tensioner is spring loaded which keeps tension on the belt during high RPM. Looks really easy to install too. I would say with the use of the stock tensioner, going significantly smaller on the SC pulley would make a belt length change likelier.

Youre not correct. There is more than one way to skin a cat. I am not allowed to say anything more, sorry. ... there IS more to induction design than rotational speed alone when engineering and prototyping such an offering... |

On roots or twin screw SCs you could effect PSI with cam profiles (less overlap) to hold boost, or the amount of exhaust back pressure can come into play, but generally speaking on these types, it's pulley size that determines your boost level. |

Well, I know the setup I signed on for is scalable and my 60whp can become 80 or 100whp with some minor mods, and there is already commitment for future reseller support from perrin to achieve this bump past 60whp for those who want more. I'm not saying you need to sign up for my solution, but I follow this thread to see what the other guy is getting ... it would be great to have some vendor or reseller feedback from this thread that said yes, the SC from Innovate can be amp'd up to 8 or 10psi if desired and will work well, with wonderous driveability. It would be even cooler is someone already tested that, as is the case with the Vtech SC, it was great that an upper limit has been established for that system with stock fuel setup. Since your boost curve for a twin screw is DIFFERENT in curve shape than a centri, I wonder how that scalability and shall we say "stage 1PLUS" can be done here on this kit? |

I'm not signing up for any solution at this point. I'll have to wait until I see hotter cams and built top ends to make my choice.
