The goal here is to pull all the aftermarket parts off the car before insurance gets their hands on it... I'm working at a very fast pace here, already lined up the next car which I'm putting down on today. This car is a total loss and of course the adjuster has to deem it that. Once Toyota Financial is paid and I get the difference in value, I'm going to put the full down payment on the next one and then drive it to Prime Motoring to install the parts back on...

I am being cautiously optimistic because I don't know what twists and turns can come out of this claim, but so far it's been smooth... When Geico (yup, Geico) closes the book on the claim and I get the first monthly bill on the car, that's when I'll consider this completed...

I have paid Geico a few grand so far in insurance from day one of starting with the Lotus and they have paid me back every penny on no-fault claims (people hitting my car in the parking lot) to repair the Lotus... I'm happy with their service - will this raise my insurance? Maybe, but that's ok...

Good to see you on top of things! Pretty soon you'll be riding in another brand new FR-S!

Everything will work out in the long run.

Update: I just put the down payment for another UltraMarine FR-S, no options, Manual transmission. It's on it's way here and once it reaches dock (projected Jan 5th) then I'll pick it up... So all in all - not so bad... I'll keep everyone (who cares) updated as I go along lol

Wow that's a hell of a turn around!!! Good to hear everything is going smoothly for you! All I gotta say is northeast drivers suck just as bad as Phoenix drivers!

I'm talking with Prime Motoring about doing a single gauge cluster for my car with the Failsafe so I figure I should have that ordered soon, I'm so glad I stumbled onto your build because i was gonna go with some cheesy gauge pods before I saw yours!

most cars that get hit on the very edge of the front corner panel usually do BADLY in a crash, glad to see our cars are safe even in that situation

Not to judge your automotive taste (I like your stable very much!) but the R8?!?

I always thought of that as the kinda downsy Lamborghini Gallardo...sure it's fun but at that price there are so many amazing cars to choose from...and dunno how you feel about American cars but the new Viper is pretty much amazing!!! It's all conjecture anyways, who am i to question your taste?
gallardo is the way to go if you want to do boost there are plenty twin turbo gallardos here in the states pushing over 1200 awhp

Once everything is said and done with Insurance, I should have a few grand in my pocket from the value (whatever it is...). I'll be just as excited as I was once we confirm all aftermarket parts are salvageable and can be put on the next one!!

@Supermassive - I'm open. R8, Vantage, Gallardo, Viper... It doesn't matter really... The FR-S is going to be matching all of them on the stretch
I think the FRS fits right in with the the supercar crowd, the passion behind building the car is present enough, just like supercars

also how was the auto turbo'd? i may end up going turbo or supercharged, thinking supercharged with a smaller final drive

@Supermassive - yes good choice on going with Prime Motoring on the gauge pod set up. If I had chosen not to go with another FR-S you could've just taken mine lol, it's in perfect condition!
@carbonBLUE - The turbo was running great under the Automatic. I only got to drive it with 5psi of boost just to make sure things ran well. I was going to have boost maps set up with 9psi, 14psi and 20psi settings so I can have the daily drive, spirited drive and extreme drag... Unfortunately I got no taste of it, but I will in a few weeks

Man that sucks...but it's just a car. Be glad you're okay. I've been in your shoes before when I totaled my C5 Z06 and it sucks for sure, but you'll be back behind the wheel of another in no-time.

I wasn't able to avoid it... The car is lost.

I am 100% good and healthy (Thank God).

I have contacted Mike from Prime Motoring who will be helping me in assessing what can be salvaged from the car (Aftermarket parts) and we're going to try to pull it off. Whatever can be salvaged will definitely go into the New FR-S... That's right, I'm getting another FR-S once the insurance part is done. I'll be getting an Ultra Marine, but most likely Manual Transmission...

So all in all... I'm on pause for at least a month. Bummer. I'll post pics of the wreck once I get some... I would like to also put out there that I am very happy with the safety of the car! If I were in the Lotus, I'd be either severely injured or dead...

Drive safe and Happy Holidays everyone!

I'm glad to hear that you are okay, I am sorry about the car...it looked magnificent
