As of right now I've put in an order at my local Toyota for a whiteout FRS, I'm debating about should I wait for the new model or just get it now even with all the issues of CEL that I've been reading about.

Anyways hope to have some fun here.
I was a little worried about the CEL issues as well but looking at the grand scheme of things I think it is affecting about 4% of the total number of units sold (give or take) and I decided that it was totally worth the risk for how much fun the car is. I'm at 1000 kms and the only problem I've had thus far is that the transmission is harder than hell to shift into second when it's cold (transmission hasn't warmed up yet and it's getting down towards freezing). Enjoy your car, it's a great DD.

My first G was blue slate. If I get another it will probably be that color again. Shows the character lines really well.

Hi Everyone,
Great source of info for a new FR-S owner. Just Tracked down a hard to find Firestorm Red Manual in SoCal. It's my first stick, first sports car, first personally purchased, and financed car. Probably will baby it forever!

The buying experience wasn't the greatest. Wouldn't think there'd be that much haggling for a pure priced scion. The dealer wouldn't let me have the car if I didn't get an extended warranty, GAP insurance, Permanent plate, lojack, extended maintenance or whatever Else they can try to sucker me in on. Claiming that they don't make any money off this car, and due to the demand, if I didn't take any of the extras they wanted to throw in, they wont sell me the car. Because the next sucker who comes in for an FRS will surely take them up on the crap they want to tack on if I don't. Ended up standing my ground and saying no to anything but the extended warranty for 125k miles.

After several hours and staying past 8:30pm on a Sunday. We made a deal...

Not once did they mention the scion boost program while they were trying to sell me the prepaid maintenance program they dreamt up.

Long fought battle but it was worth it to have a new FR-eSh in the driveway.

Hi everyone,

My name is Thien. I've been stalking the forums for quite some time, probably since June, before finally getting a Firestorm FR-S yesterday. It is my first car, and I have to say, I love every bit of it. Just a little worried I might attract the wrong attention, especially since five minutes after leaving the dealers, someone in a Civic already wanted to race at a stoplight. Lol... Other than that, I look forward to having some fun!

Hello everyone. Been lurking on the forum for a couple months now. Just picked up my Asphalt FR-S about two and a half weeks ago and thought I'd make an account. I love the member journals and will be documenting all the mods I make to my car as well.

I've already got HID's, a side mount kit (no plate yet though), and some clear corner on order. I've got 7 different types of side-marker bulbs coming, and plan on writing up a DIY so everyone can see all the different types and the differences.

Once again, glad to be a part of the community. Lots of great info and great people on here, hope to begin contributing soon.

Hi everyone! I've been lurking around here since before the twins were released here in the US. My first car was an FG2 Civic Si, which I unfortunately had to trade in for a family sedan when the baby arrived. Now that both me and my wife are working, I'm planning to buy a second car in the near future so she can start driving to work also. Having loved my 8thgen, I was looking into getting the 9thgen Civic Si, but the departure of the rev-happy K20 and the relatively bland new interior made me look for better alternatives. The FR-S has been on top of the list for quite some time now. I just love how this car looks! I'm not exactly a knowledgeable gearhead, but I am looking forward to experiencing how this thing drives compared to an 8thgen Civic Si. Just need to come up with a down payment and I might just pull the trigger on this very soon. Looking forward to being part of the FR-S/BRZ community .
