the type of torque that will snap your neck towards the head rest (depends on the torque profile). I like!

The finishing, even for a concept model, is truly bad. Those lights (front and rear) are ugly and old fashioned and the rest of the bodywork seems to have been cobbled together from previous prototypes and concepts. The twin-charged modifications would be expensive to release as an aftermarket kit, way beyond the means of most and if released as a limited run special edition (as with the supercharged GRMN IQ) I would fear for reliability issues.

Probably nothing more than a trackday plaything for the Boss.

Wonder how long before those tail lights fill with water? Seriously though, I'm hoping a new Supra is more of a GT-R/NSX competitor as well. They've already stated that the 86 will be the middle car of Toyota's 3-car sports car lineup, and though it doesn't compete directly with the 370 in cost and horsepower, another Toyota in that market segment would, I believe, cannibalize too many sales from the 86 to be cost-effective. The $70k-$100k market is where Toyota really needs to make its presence felt. Then a new MR2 successor in the sub-$20k range to fill out the lineup would be perfect.

So, am I the only person who thinks this looks like they slapped the front end of an NSX onto an 86?

For reference: (as if you needed it )

I am actually ok with the new Supra being a Scion, as long as scion dumps all the other dead weight like the XB, XD, and IQ. They should also throw in a RWD $25k sports sedan into the mix too...
