Auto Body Armor

Anyone consider something like these?

Okay, I know they are fugly. So no need to comment on that.

The advantage with these is that you don't drive with them on, you just stick them in your trunk. They are not mounted to the car either, just secured by closing the trunk lid.

There are also companies that make side protectors and hood protectors.

Getting close...
Parking in Philly is an exercise in "park by brail". People bump you, and then say "oh, thats as far as I need to go that way". Its insane and boils my blood.
I just take the Legacy daily driver mostly if I know I'm going to be parking down town... Just let that get smashed.

Is there an invention for the front of the car yet?

Check out bumpshox. It doesn't give total coverage but does offer protection for very low speed bumps. It barely shows on gray or black. On other colors, it would be more noticeable. Definitely would get some protection for street parking in Philly. The only other place I have seen parking armor is in New York City.

Or maybe some of this, maybe make body panels with this stuff.

I got doorshox for my FR-S.My friends park around me at school so I only use them when I'm in a crowded area other then school (which is rare because I usually park far away)

A customer review said the magnets eventually started to scratch the paint. Have you had any similar issues?

no I can't say that I have any scratches. I guess as long as you keep the surfaces clean, it shouldn't scratch. Also don't be dragging it on your paint. Place it on and lift it off when you're done
