I'm liking this a lot. I agree, it just looks Subaru ish.

You closer you look, the nice the car becomes but the camo really does make it ugly at first glance.

the badge on the decklid confirms it as either the subaru, or a scion with a custom model badge

Now it looks like it's wearing a mouthguard.

I'm still not fully convinced this isn't even preproduction but rather Subaru still experimenting with minor tweaks and collecting data.

i like the lower grille opening. it's kinda ferrari-like, the "sinister grin" look if you will. but the area where the license plate is attached. wtf is that? is that going to be blacked out? if so, its gonna look real weird...

Unfortunately, the Toyota, Subaru, and Scion badges are all roughly the same ovoid shape. So, it's hard to tell looking at the outline on the deck lid. If you look closely at the front shots, the badge is still there, and you can make out a bit of the underlying badge. I took it into photoshop and magnified the area, then traced what I could see in red. Unfortunately, it looks as if this is the Toyota version. Unless they stuck a Toyota badge on there to screw with us.

I think we've been seeing the Scion/Toyota version running around and this is the first time we've seen the subaru version. BTW, out of the three, Subaru is the only one who's badge is solid in shape, the other two have relief badges.
Subaru:

Here's my argument, the badge is clearly more of a wide oval like the subie logo than the toyota/scion which are damn near identical in shape. I think the mule we saw a while back is the toyota/scion (why would they change it this much) and this is the subaru

I like those rims. Already seen them on a few spy shots. Imagining them with spacers, and the car lowered on coilovers

I also wonder how its going to look like with an American license plate?

Take it for what it's worth but I went to a friends party this weekend and one of the guys there works at Subaru of Plano here in Texas and I asked him about the BRZ and he was surprised I knew about it. He said I'm only the 3rd person to ask him about it and he said he saw the full production version at a private meeting. He confirmed it looked like a "mini Maserati" and it was white. He pulled out his phone and showed me the mule that we've been seeing with all the swirlys on it and said it looked like that but in white and you could see the body lines so much better without the camo.

Anyway I do notice these recent spy shots do look a little different, fog light shapes are different and it doesn't have the honeycomb grill. Looks sick imo can't wait til November 30th.

Also why they testing without rear seats

Also what's with where the hood opens?

Why not make it open right at the front instead of 30-40xn up
