I think I will be down for the groupbuy, is the AB considerably louder than the AB-M?
Which of the two makes more power?

both version makes the same power.

the AB is louder than the ABM

AB is resonated while the ABM has a muffler

Oh okay, I guess my question was, is it really loud compared to the AB-M?
I like both, but if the AB sounds more aggressive without being too loud or annoying I would prefer that one.

If the price for the ABM axelback exhaust is $400, it works with stock front and mid pipes, and produces about 4 to 5 hp or so .........then count me in for a group buy if that one!!!!

yes price is $399. however, the AB-M (axle back muffler) alone does not produce 9hp.

the catback system is the one that produces 9++ hp

the catback system is made out of the WORKS AB-M and the WORKS Midpipe

I see no way for there to be indirect airflow in this design. Clearly, on driverside, the gasses exit un-muffled.

Opps thanks I just read on their website that thier midpipe alone makes 4 to 5 hp so I am guessing the axelback will still make a couple hp. I'm still interested in the exhaust

Also you can buy the mid and front pipes later for the ABM exhaust and it will be functional.

yes you can buy the midpipe, frontpipe, and the overpipe later on and they will all just bolt on together

Be advised their data is gathered from the flywheel (stated on their website) whereas many others are taken from at the wheel. Not that the number isn't good but when you factor in the percentage of power lost from the transmission it isn't as good as it appears. I'm still between this one and Perrin's foam drop in. Works is tempting though and does have a great track record.

Works could be around 4-7hp at the wheel
Perrin's is proven 3-4 at the wheel

Shout out to my friend JR (86_ZN6) and Pete from WORKS for making this exhaust for me! Making it happen this Christmas just states that Pete is a customer dedicated shop owner.

When I met w/ JR to check and hear the catback exhaust (I'm looking for a quality catback exhaust that produces power, looks good, sounds about right, no drone, not loud in the cabin, right price and you get what you pay for) I was sold and told JR to ask Pete if i can have one just in time for Christmas. Then, next thing you know I received a text message that the exhaust is ready and waiting for me. (will not be out yet until they finalize everything) Group buy is coming out soon! Even just in the installation of this product he's there to check on things making sure that everything is in high quality top shape. The service is top notch! Awesome owner! Will try to do a review (get it in a dyno) and more pics after the holidays. More of what went down to this exhaust in the next update. One word Awesomeness!!
