I just picked it up on Saturday and I've got about 10 hours into it so far.

I was pleasantly surprised at how it drove after plugging my wheel in -- I played the demo with the controller and wasn't that impressed with the physics, but I guess a nice wheel and pedal setup adds a lot.

Only thing that's bugging me is how (relatively speaking) small the open world is and how short the campaign is. I think I have the first three wristbands, 1/2 the roads driven, and half of most of the other free roam stuff except the PR stunts. It wouldn't be so bad if that promoter chick would stop nagging me to go run races. Why are they in such a hurry for me to finish the campaign?

Just finished the single player campaign today. Got pretty much everything unlocked -- just need the last barn find and the PR points stunts.

You won't be disappointed Dizz1e, it was pretty fun.

Things they should add in a sequel/DLC

- some tunability

- a few track day like events on dedicated race tracks -- shouldn't an area that size have a couple of road tracks? Racing on the streets starts to get old after 2k miles. A couple tracks thrown in would add some extra variety.

- some damage modeling

- get some real AI instead of this scripted rubber band crap.

got the game on black friday for $15 as well and have been absolutely loving it.

I was pretty against this game but I saw it for $15 as well and I couldn't turn that down. Figured worst case scenario, game stop will give me more for it used anyways.

I'm not returning it. This game is amazing. I can't believe how much I enjoy it. If you're like me and normally looking for a game like Gran Turismo or the original Forza franchise, this isn't it. It's a very pleasant break from those games though. Very fun game and I've only done two of the campaign races so far.

My favorite thing right now is going flat out down the high way to get style points/sponsor money. I'm at about 200k and my FRS is NA with 300hp. This thing destroys all the super cars as long as the race isn't strictly a straightaway.

Honest Conclusion;
The demo didn't make me want to get the game, which is a shame, I felt the demo gave me more NFS experience than a new open world experience.

I still might pick up the game regardless of how unsatisfied i am based on the demo. It didnt excite me like FM4 did.

In the end, Ill still be hoping and waiting for a game to give me what i really want, which is Tokyo Extreme Racer + GT5 physics + FM4 styling.

SO HAPPY someone else has played Tokyo Extreme Racer. I am ashamed every time I play it because the graphics and physics are SO BAD. But I got terribly addicted to that game when I had my PS2. All in all though Forza kinda blows. GT5 FTW.
