Not everyone up here drives like that. I seem to always get stuck behind the person who likes to do 10mph under the speed limit whenever it snows.

i miss it. i love being able to watch all the idiots with pickups who think that just because it has 4WD will be great in the snow. except they don't put anything over the rear axle, and then wonder why they're sitting in the ditch between lanes on the highway

#Southernproblems

We get snow here. It's just enough to cause problems but not enough to make snow tires common place.

Yay, all-seasons.

lol, wait, my experience is that when it rains, people charge about full speed anyways, and then crash. Is this not true? The road to Tahoe is ALWAYS blocked because of some accident, and on the plowed roads even all seasons are good enough to get you moving along. In the Bay, seems like the highways are always blocked up when a rainstorm comes because people are crashing left and right.

Nothing like the going 20mph that the OP describes...

From what my Norcal friends tell me... Socal drivers are crazy in the rain. Everyone still going 60-70mph when its pouring!

From what he said... Norcal drivers were better drivers in the rain.

But yes... everyone does dart out on the onramp. Aren't you in Norcal btw?

Yea I remember on a roadtrip down south, it was pouring so hard that the windshield wipers on max couldn't keep up, and everyone thought that 60mph was a great speed to be driving even if they couldn't see 10 feet in front of them.

Over here I haven't witnessed particularly bad driving, but in most rain people seem to think 60mph is a good speed to be travelling (thankfully people have enough sense to slow down to (hold your breath) 50mph when there is heavy fog and zero visibility...), and I just know that there are ALWAYS accidents that block the freeway completely.
