And what a pig it is! The 3rd gen IROC-Z and the 4th gen SS weighed around 3,3-3,400lbs depending on transmission/options; the new SS weighs nearly 3,900lbs! The only things that have gotten better about the car are the engine and independent rear suspension. Driving one is like peering out of a battletank. There is no visibility!

Conclusion:
very accurate! the engine in the 6 is a caddy product, smooth as silk,a nice design, with plenty of ''nuts".the rear suspension is compliant as any good independent unit would be,however the car is an obese pig,and this is reflected in cornering.it's just too heavy.it is helped,"somewhat" by mounting 20" rubber, but still cannot overcome the weight factor.car's basically,a good looking straight line '"rocket",and to be honest, this is what it always really was!.it's just more modern now,but it's still (g.m.) crap! can't be trusted,
especially over the long haul.

It's not even a straight line rocket without some mods. Nice motor just too much fat to haul around. The 5.0 mustang will smoke a SS at the track and 1/4.

The 1LE has potential though, it's about same weight as the Boss (3600).

I think I was more surprised that he mentioned the Camero would be able to handle the snow better???? To each his own I guess but the snow statement really confuses me...

The BRZ and the Camaro have absolutely nothing in common. Just goes to show that the OP doesn't know what they want in the first place. Look for a "Bye Camaro..." thread on the Camaro forums six months from now...

that is unless the op could like more than one thing in a car or maybe what he wants is something along the lines of fun or quality.

It is a personal preference thing. Op likes power, BRZ's B means balanced. I like the balance in this car. I also believe any extra power will throw the balance off and then compromise the others.

I thought of the same thing. I can understand not having leg room in the BRZ...but for a "bigger" car like the camaro you would think otherwise.

One word: Turbo. And the power to weight ratio is STILL better in the BRZ. There's a lot of ingenuity and thought invested. Ive driven a grand am > spec v sentra > 350z > a little yaris > and now the BRZ. I love and favor my BRZ.

Again...Turbo or SC would also help in his quest for power.

yes! this is true! i was referring to the 8,not the 6, when blowing out of the hole! to be truthful, the 8 is a fu*kin' straight line terror, the 6 is about the same 0-60,as our cars! remember ,the 6 has 323 (h.p.) but the f**kin' thing has almost 2 tons on it,so it needs a big motor to get the 6 seconds to 60 just sayin'

That's because the Camaro is crap. When I see them I am reminded of Eric Cartman and his NASCAR escapades.

Don't get me wrong, I gave the new Camaro a chance. It took about 3 seconds to realize how bad it was. It didn't even have the power I thought it would in a strait line(I may have been biased since I was driving a 700whp Supra att). You couldn't see a damn thing due to blind spots every where. The first time I shut the door it sounded like a 20 year old Honda. meh, to each their own I guess. As long as he likes it, thats all that matters. Congrats on the step down. :/
