I am on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to see some dynojet numbers in the future. I would love to be able to nail 300whp on a daily driven setup with one of these. I wonder if it is possible...
I can't help but be excited for you. That's awesome, and I would love to feel the result. Of course, I'm greedy, and I want 300whp uncorrected. I feel like the vortech may just fall barely short of that. But it has to be impressive nonetheless. I can't be the only one biting nails for some video! |

Its hitting 240 on a dynapack at 7 psi. That's like 225 on a dynojet. But I am eagerly waiting for a true third party dyno. Hurry up haha

Perhaps you'd be willing to cite some examples to provide some basis for your dynojet <-> dynapack conversion factor? It seems there is no consistant comparison, it depends on way too many factors. Here is an example where the Dynojet put out higher numbers: http://s2000.com/forums/forced-induc...vortec-sc.html . There are other examples with the Dynojet was lower, and others where the numbers are around the same. I agree with your last point. It would be nice to see this thing on a 3rd party dynojet for a better comparison to other setups. Last edited by uspspro; 12-23-2012 at 03:27 AM. |

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20572 So I'm making my assumption on what I conceived to be general knowledge of the differences between a dyno that accounts for inertia, and a dyno that does not. Likewise, if they posted 240 on a mustang dyno, I would have assumed it was more powerful on a dynojet. You should also note that I used HALF of the correction factor on my comparison than a normal dynapack, so I am giving them even more credit. In the end the numbers are still there, correction or not. But as I said, we won't know for certain until someone posts up a third party, dynojet dyno. After driving the car for most the day yesterday and testing a couple different maps. I can say the power band is so smooth. Once you get to the 4000 to 6000 it pulls. I lost the ass end of the car more yesterday then the the months I have had the car. I am just as excited to see what kind of number this kit puts out as you guys I am hoping in two weeks the part will come in. Once on ill get it done. My butt dyno says WOW if the helps you guys out any. I am glad I went supercharger and not turbo. I am thinking it will come in between 220-245. I am hoping with 10-15 psi with E-85 this thing should go over 300hp. but as it comes it makes it a very nice daily driver. I think by far this kit keeps the car look as stock as possible. I am extremely happy with the looks. Will post some more videos of driving the car under load from outside and inside.

It's gains some down low for sure but it gained all the way threw just. The power band it's extremely nice you just really notice it at that 4000- 6000.

Awesome posts skatery! Where in CO are you? I lived in Grand Junction...miss the rockies, and Denver, the springs etc, I find it amazing these guys are throwing these SC's out to all of us a mile high as the 1st batch, I'm at over 4000 feet, as the 1st group of guys to get it. If we all do ok with it in thin air, folks at sea level will be uber stoked..cool test strategy!

what pulley would be compatible with this kit?. I'm considering buying a tuner kit and just putting deatschworks injectors and a fuel pump and get it tuned, I want to run 15 psi or so on 93 octane max, what pully would I need and is the fuel system and tune only difference between tuner kit and complete one?
