I am glad that ppl have shared their problems with the car and I will write a checklist to inspect mine for common problems when I pick it up from the dealer.
I am even more glad that even more ppl have shared their joy of driving the 86/frs/brz and am sure that I will too.

Let's not be jackasses but I love when people point out problems, because it often leads to simple but not obvious solutions.

My favorite is the rear deck popping noise which I found out I can fix with a tiny spray of lubricant in the right spots.
Taking my mine in for tailight replacement tomorrow and need to ask them about this but if some WD40 fixes it i'd rather them not mess with it.

The twins are amazing drivers' cars for the price. The multi-page list of COTY awards and the lop-sided track comparisons they're routinely throw into (FR-S vs. Cayman S, BRZ vs. [insert Porsche/Lotus/other expensive sports car], etc.) are proof of that. I haven't seen a giant-slayer like this car in a long time, maybe ever.
Do you know what a giant slayer is in the car world? I don't think you do. It's when a a cheaper car in the class of other overpriced cars simply embarrasses those cars on a track for a lot less money. I have never seen the FRS/BRZ do that yet and as a matter of fact they have lost every time against other cars when it comes to track times. Now if you meant a slayer in "FEEL" then that's a different story. Also the GT-R and Corvette slay much more expensive cars in there class. The Mustang GT 5.0 Sport Pkg matched a E92 M3 on track. The 370Z also plays the same role with the Cayman.

Thank you Captain Obvious. Way to put up a strawman argument and waste your time arguing against yourself. Instead of posting, if you took that time to actually read any of the comparisons I cited to, you would have understood the point of what I was saying.

Why so emotional? I just pointed out you was using the term differently to the norm. This is by far the most defensive site I have been on

Thats not a nice way of including highly potential future owners..

Most Moderators here don't even own the car. We are all (at least 99% of us) here because we like the cars. No need to exclude people.

I would just like to thank all people in the past who complained about stuff when they bought cars in the past. It made the cars better in the end.
I will also thank everybody who goes to the dealerships and complain about stuff that is bad. I will also thank people who work together on this forum with the stuff that needs to be fixed. Finding solutions. Giving people faith that they are not alone, and when the dealerships says. "Never heard if it" You can say, well, here are 150+ people with the same issue.. People talking about issues are a way of making progress and making the car better for everybody.

From my point of view. I have seen several owners raising issues with their cars. Its not the same as spreading negativity on this forum. In threads like that, you often see other owners spreading negativity towards OP. Those are the people ruining a thread.
Lets just include most people and try our best to be polite.. We cant all have the same opinions. If people say something bad about the car in general, remember, its their opinion on the car. Not a personal attack on the owner.

The crickets try to find warmer places when the temps get that low. If you think ecu and tail light cricket infestations are bad then hope that you never get a case of crotch crickets.

A rant about ranting. That's funny.

I'm glad you haven't had issues but many have so they can and will post about it. These cars arent perfect after all. It'll be interesting to see if you ever post about any issues you run into.
