We have the Berk catless front pipe on the CSG BRZ. This is one of the easiest pieces to upgrade for weight reduction and extra throttle response.

For those who have installed high flow cats / test pipes, would two jack stands suffice for the install? Right now I only have a pair of jack stands so I'm hoping I won't need 4. If you guys used 2 stands, did you jack up one side, or just the front?

i Have the tanabe catless front pipe. i had it on with the oem exhaust at first and i definitely felt a small increase in torque in the lower rpms. the noise gets alittle louder but sounds alot better. Then installed the tanabe catback medalion touring exhaust and showed a significant increase in noise. feels more lively now too.

Should be fine with just the front of the car up since that's where it is located. That or the right side since in angles off that way.

Make sure the rear of the car is secured from rolling, block behind the wheels etc. Safety first!

Just installed my Invidia Catless Front Pipe I got from FT86Speeedfactory. The increase in volume under regular conditions is only slight. Initial start-up and under heavy accel definitely has a bit more volume and more of the "Boxer Rumble" everyone wants.

did anyone have trouble getting the front pipe off, especially at the front flange? I got my Berk test pipe in and tried to install it today, but one of the damn bolts on the front wouldn't come off... think it is cross threaded or such.

So we had to put the stock part back on and I am going to go to a muffler shop tomorrow to see if they can do it, might be easier on a lift.

Yes. Mine was crossthreaded. I ended up cutting the nut off with a Dremel and a cutting disc.

Yep, so I took my car to a local muffler shop and they had to cut/break the nut off with a torch. Guess that's why Berk supplied replacement nuts and bolts...
But I got my catless pipe on! Sound is not changed much at least in the cabin to my surprise. You know what they say about butt dynos, but it does feel faster. Feels like more low-mid power to me just on the drive home.

I just had P&L install their overpipe and catless midpipe. I have the SRT catback which I love and hate at the same time.
I wish I would have waited a little longer on the latter.
I love the sound, and the video doesn't do it any justice. Can definitely feel a difference.
Great quality and service from P&L, unlike some others I won't bother to mention at this time.
I wasn't aggressive in the video. But you get a general idea what it sounds like without the overpipe and midpipe, and then with.
Not sure how long I'll stick with the SRT and I may go back to a catted midpipe but I'm having fun with it for now.
