there are no pull me over issues with the unresonated unless you start revving to redline next to LEO... its not like a flowmaster, most any mustang with an aftermarket exh is louder if you ask me

How is the unresonated with the catless headerback, or is that the perspective you're speaking from?

I'd like to hear a resonated and unresonated Perrin on a UEL header.

Hmm, I'm liking the Perrin because it is a full system solution. Just thinking between resonated versus non resonated with a UEL header. Most people would probably say resonated. I want it really loud with a great loud sound though, nothing crazy raspy or tin sounding.

I'm going with Perrin because I don't like mixing parts.. They make a header back system with different options and working on their header, might as well make it a one stop shop. And their customer service is awesome, always get a quick response from their chat feature.

It was a 02 WRX exhaust and was rusted out at the exhaust flex joint. I can go find the pictures somewhere on facebook....

Rusted flex http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2419299 Maybe it's your inhouse weld thats the issue? Or maybe you used a cheap flex joint? idk but at least you offer a warranty! edit. P.s mine was worse and actually had a hole in the rusted flex. Last edited by NickFRS; 12-20-2012 at 10:43 AM. |

Nameless keeps the stock midpipe. Perrin replaces it with their own 2.5" resonated and unresonated. That's the main difference I've seen. Perrin also uses a similar overpipe that is thicker than the stock one while Nameless bypasses it straight to their downpipe.

There have been a few comments about the Nameless axleback that seem unfair. From a design and engineering aspect it makes good sense. The 2.5" pipe splits into two smaller pipes of half the cross sectional area to flow the same but keep weight to a minimum.
The smaller pipes are of equal lengths to match the flow to each tip. Keeping the stock midpipe lost no performance, kept it lighter and also maintained the ground clearance that a mid mounted centre pipe sacrifices. The best power increase comes from the overpipe and downpipe with a high flow cat. Anyone that appreciates functional design for performance and quality workmanship would be drawn to Nameless. |

I have the nameless midpipe (that isn't going into production) and muffler delete on my car at the moment. It's really loud.
