BRZ Released?

Hi,
I see that the BRZ is release in SA. It appears I the carmag and on ignition but could not find Any official press release. The price is R380k. Seem very high compared to the 86. Found some info at http://www.subarupretoria.co.za/NewC...pyCurrencyID=1
Major differences are the spoiler and service plan. Most people who own this car will never do 100k km in 5 years.

I think it's a full maintenance plan, and that's why the inflated price. There is also a sports exhaust - and a few extra bits of trim, not to mention the wing!

Yip,

There is a demo in Centurion...

The sales person told me they are only taking orders, car's will be available only early next year.

I went for a drive in it couple of weeks back...

It comes with wing, and sports exhaust as standard.
The interior is similar but not exactly the same as Toyota 86 High spec... but IMO the Toyota high spec looks better...!
It has a full maintenance plan, heated seats ext.

Price was given at around R380 000...

Yep, from what I've seen their high spec is the same as the 86 High except for the wing, zorst and maintenance plan. Interior is the same except for the silver panels and it doesn't have the white ring around the rev counter. Touch screen radio is optional.

As far as I know their std spec will have more kit than the 86 std. Subaru SA was considering giving buyers the option of full size spare, space saver or repair kit. Not sure what they ended up doing.

Either way, at those prices they can keep it. I like the 86's front bumper and LED lights more but then the Subaru comes in that awesome 555 WRC blue or whatever it's called.

EDIT:
The seats in the "high" spec are the same as the 86 high but the std has got cloth where the 86 std is full Alcantara. The carbon fiber bits shown in Car magazine are optional.

It does look good. Do you reckon it would fit the 86 though?
