Am I the only one that enjoys doing Pencil drawings on MacBook Unibodies? I tried googling it because I assumed lots of people would have cool designs and shit, but I couldn't find a single one.

Pencil drawings go on and come off so smoothly on MacBook Aluminum Frames, and you can make really cool designs that incorporate the Apple logo...

Maybe I can start a new trend?

Wow, you did 50 on a 25mph wet road? I took that 1 hour detour into the mountains instead of taking the freeway, and I'll just say that I only have the balls to go 30mph if it's wet. I could feel the car losing traction on some patches of dirt covered pavement.

I couldn't bring myself to try going 50 on 25mph (dry) road because I noticed a lot of people coming around blind turns crossing over into my lane, and at the speeds I was going it was easy to move toward the shoulder and avoid them. If I were going 50 I might not be able to do that.

Speaking of my trip, I saw a bunch of RX8s, a Miata, and...wait for it...a Shelby Cobra :O

Bringing back the Harbor Freight discussion, I bought a 51 piece socket wrench set there today for 10 dollars, I bring it home, and surprise surprise, it breaks the ratcheting mechanism as soon as I apply not even that much force. Guess I'll need a new one, at least these sockets seem solid enough.

But they have lifetime warranties right? So you're good!

Some people tell me that if you cough up the extra $10 or whatever for their higher end, "Pittsburgh Pro" or whatever stuff, then it is actually decently reliable. It's pretty hit or miss with me though.

Yea but "limitations apply", and it's "free from defects in material and workmanship", but maybe it's just not meant to take more than a pathetic 10Nm torque or something. I think I'm just going to buy an adapter so I can use these sockets with a normal wrench, and then get a better ratcheting one if I get really pissed.

We had a set of bleed nut wrenches and one snapped it's head off when trying to turn the brake bleed nut on my buddy's 91 MR2. Good evidence of HF's shitty quality... But we took took the set back, and they exchanged the set for a new one. New set seems to be holding up.

They are usually chill about returns, or at least up here in Champaign-Urbana they are....

Not worth the drive over lol, a new one is just 4 bucks, and driving over will be like 3 bucks in gas alone XD

I suppose I should've put a disclaimer and said I wasn't really watching the speedometer very carefully because ohmygodcorneringreallyfast, so I'm not exactly sure how fast I was going. I just remember pushing it as fast as I was comfortable with. Also, the road wasn't 25, it was a 55 road, with several twists and turns with various recommended speeds.

It wasn't a soaked road either, luckily. The rain had happened a day before and then I guess humidity kept it from drying. More realistically, the road was damp, and my speeds were probably about 55 on 35 curves, 40 or 45 on the 25 curves, and 35 on the 20 curves. And this road was out in the middle of nowhere, so I only saw a handful of other people driving the whole time I was out there.

I hear you on that, some people never grow up.

Thought this was a good comment if ever need to explain to the kids on what they just saw.

One day I'm going to stop going onto the shoulder and let some douchebag hit me. Damage from going off the road? My fault. Damage because some asshole crossed into my lane? His fault and I want my fat insurance check.
