Not to mention the frame of the subwoofer.I did come up with this though. I plan on using a 3 way component set in the future so the factory amp will no longer be used. I have a few 6" midbass's laying around. It is completely possible to put a panel over the cavity thus giving you an infinite baffle. Put the factory speaker in its own little enclosure and use the factory amp to power the new 6" . There shouldnt be any clearance issues as the 6 so no cutting of factory panel. this is an idea at least. Im still going to do a footwell box so this car should have plenty of low end..
Get a pattern put together for the new bracket and we will have them cut on the water jet at LM and start selling them.

I wasnt going to use metal, we could just needs to be deadened so it doesnt resonate. I was going to use mdf sealed in resin.

I have not taken the car in, because i can find no evidence that Toyota/Subaru have really fixed the issues.

I love the car, but these are a lot of problems for a brand new car.

I have been tempted to have the HPFP issue fixed, only to have it come back, and have it fixed over and over until i can lemon law the car.

I have no CEL, but all the symptoms.

I am really growing tired of the issues and am seriously thinking of getting rid of the car.

Help me decide guys.

** I almost forgot, squeaky windows too... **
I'm just going to put in my two cents here...My BRZ has the iffy passenger window switch, the crickets, idle dip and moisture in the passenger tail light. At one point I set up an appointment with Camelback Subaru to fix everything minus the taillight(wasn't an issue at the time), this was a month ago. I ended up cancelling the appointment because I didn't want to leave my car there over night. But as time passed. The window switched really doesn't bother me. The crickets don't bother me. And the idle dip comes and goes with no negative affects. The tail light I will get fixed because it just looks ghetto the way it is now. Even with these problems, I still enjoy my car! Why? Because the last two cars I had were A LOT WORSE! My 95' 240 needed power steering fluid every other day. I kept 5qt's in the car at all times. On top of that, the car would not turn off unless you killed the fuel pump. I had a 3 step process just to turn the car on and off. Step 1: would involve popping the hood so I could insert my key to the battery cut off switch since there was an electrical gremlin that would keep power going through the the car at all times. Step 2: turn the fuel cut off switch off. Step 3: start the car. And to turn it off would be the reverse order. The same time I had the 240, I got an 06' GTO. Don't even get me started on that money pit! Last GM/American brand car I'll ever own. So yeah, my BRZ has some issues. But you know what? They don't even come close to what I had to deal with on a daily basis with my last two cars. I love my BRZ and these little glitches with a first gen car of its kind is nothing to complain about. /endrant

Looks like I'll need to drive with the "nannies" off on Friday. Got to dodge those fireballs! Funny how my last day of work before winter break is this Friday lol

Im very upset with some things on my FR-S. The chirps are very annoying and make car sound like it is old. My fuel pump also has a loud clikcing noise, sounds like valves or heads with a million miles, not a brand new car. I get crazy vibrations and rattles in both door panels when stereo on. The door panels were reinforced with foam at Big 2, but the vibrations are still there! I sold my 1998 Trans Am that did not have a single thing wrong with it, to buy the FRS. This is my first brand new car, so I am really dissappointed it is not perfect. I do miss my LS1, but overall, I love my FR-S. It is an AWESOME car! 2012 best car of the year and hasn't even been out the whole year! The little things are outweighed by just the way the car feels when driving it. I complained to Scion about my issues, and hope they can do something about it, but this car is a keeper. I plan on being the only owner of it.
