Has anybody here in the Phoenix area had to replace their BRZ / FRS windshield, and can recommend a shop? I've got glass coverage as part of my insurance package.

I've only had mine for two weeks and I've got a large crack running down the middle of my windshield. I was stuck behind a pickup truck yesterday as I was heading home and I heard the rock hit, but the crack didn't form until this morning

I have not taken the car in, because i can find no evidence that Toyota/Subaru have really fixed the issues.

I love the car, but these are a lot of problems for a brand new car.

I have been tempted to have the HPFP issue fixed, only to have it come back, and have it fixed over and over until i can lemon law the car.

I have no CEL, but all the symptoms.

I am really growing tired of the issues and am seriously thinking of getting rid of the car.

Help me decide guys.

There were some side roads the car just sat there and spun the tires. When again I watched 4x4's having the same problems.

Since insurance coveres it I would get oem glass. I have had the cheap stuff you could see waves in the glass that sucked.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing. My insurer works with Safelite, so they're taking care of it. Since our cars are so new, however, I'll have to wait until the windshield arrives, which I assume will be sometime after the holiday madness has ended.

I picked up a crack Friday morning on 202 leaving Local Motors; I had it filled in today by Safelite. At least it won't get bigger... 10 years of driving my Sentra with no glass damage, but a chip in my first 3 months on the BRZ

I got a small chip in mine other day. Next morning, after the rain and cold weather, the chip was now a foot long crack, then an hour later it grew to foot and a half. I gotta look for a new windshield now

I have had a chip for a while. Should get it fixed before it becomes a bigger issue. I usually get a new windshield instead since they get so pitted here in AZ.

So after more research into the rear panel sub box, i have concluded this. With this car having the airbag system it does it would not be safe to put a box there. I concluded this as follows. There is an impact sensor inside the well, even mdf turned sideways could hinder the side curtain airbags from deploying correctly. Not to mention the frame of the subwoofer.I did come up with this though. I plan on using a 3 way component set in the future so the factory amp will no longer be used. I have a few 6" midbass's laying around. It is completely possible to put a panel over the cavity thus giving you an infinite baffle. Put the factory speaker in its own little enclosure and use the factory amp to power the new 6" . There shouldnt be any clearance issues as the 6 so no cutting of factory panel. this is an idea at least. Im still going to do a footwell box so this car should have plenty of low end..
