Hmmm 10 hours, from South Bay down to the San Diego area. I drove the last 8 nonstop. Going down I5 put me in a trance like state, several hundred miles of completely straight road and nothing in sight, wind noise never stopped being annoying though. I don't want to think about how many hearing cells I will have left if I tried to make that trip in my car.
My parents said 20 some years ago they drove from Minnesota to DC in 1 go...managed to roll the car into a bank of snow too :P |

Lancaster, PA to Santa Monica, CA. Just me and the open road.
Then I flew to Arizona, bought a car, and drove from Tucson, AZ to Savannah, GA. Driving straight-through with limited breaks, no thanks! Slow it down and enjoy the scenery. PS None of us come close to Emil & Liliana. 28 years, 415k miles, and still going! www.weltrekordreise.ch |

I do! I've been to all 48 contiguious states, and Utah was one of the biggest surprises for me. I was expecting it to be rather dull and boring, but I was just blown away when we drove through Moab and surrounding areas. Can't wait to go back.

My longest trip was in 1975 when my wife and I moved from Detroit to San Diego. I drove one car towing our other car behind me. I don't remember how long it took. A few days later my wife flew out with our cat. Life is an adventure.

I've done Orlando to Chicago solo non-stop a couple of times. About 20-24 hours depending on when you leave and which route you take. I really hate stopping halfway through a trip (makes it feel like it takes weeks).

NY -> Utah (southern route) took us 2 weeks. i was...7, and we were helping my sister get her stuff out to the univeristy of utah. first time i read jurassic park, and we did the tourist thingy.
also: did CT -> NC in 9 hours. and refilled in MD, and made it all the way to charlotte on one tank of gas with enough left over to probably reach columbia |

This summer (mid-May) I drove with my father from upstate NY to Los Angeles in roughly three days (didn't really keep track of the hours, though).
Background: I was transferring from my college in NY to a SoCal one (moving back closer to home), so after finishing spring semester I hauled my stuff back to CA and made a road-trip out of it. I'm not really a very fun person to road-trip with though... I'm really too focused on efficiency and covering as much distance as possible. That means minimal bathroom breaks ._. |

Drove from NJ to Jackson, WY one winter break in college to be a ski bum. I think it was 2500 miles each way.
