Yeah, even being careful on our drive we took quite a few risks that could have ended badly if the guys with us were more inexperienced. This is not a road that is very forgiving if you mess up with tons of random rocks, animals, foliage watchers, slow cruising bikers, construction, dust/dirt/gravel, large dropoffs and steel railings. If I didn't have my bi-monthly D&D game this Saturday I'd be interested in going but more than likely it'll be January before I can go back.

Also, at no point should you turn off your traction control on this route.

You can try but mine was working overtime when we were out there. These aren't well maintained city roads.

Anyone still doing the cruise on Saturday, looks like a good time? I have a bit of a drive before the cruise, so I want to make sure some people will be there.

I kept mine in VSC sport, but its just too narrow of a road to really risk the car sliding out of control when it has the capability to keep you straight.

If it were a closed road and I didn't have to worry about oncoming traffic coming around blind turns, then maybe I would turn it completely off. But its not and I really don't want the memories of tail swiping some motorcyclist off the side of the mountain because I was being a jackass..

And we allow more than just Imprezas. Although if you show up in an Audi TT we might make fun of you.

How do you keep the TC off? It keeps turning itself back on after I hit 60kph or so.

hold it down for close to 5-10 seconds.. Both lights will turn on amber.. if you just press it and release, it only stays off below 20mph.
